Motel One was great will 100% be back. Great staff and great location.
Room was like a shoebox, with a bed of 14cm wide for 2 people, would have never booked this hotel if I had know in advance. Breakfast and location was good
We had an amazing stay! From the personal at the reception to bar and breakfast! The breakfast was delicious and had everything you could wish for. We had a lovely room, overlooking the rooftops of Copenhagen. On top, the hotel is very well situated, perfect for exploring Copenhagen!
Very good location and nice hotel. Good breakfast.
Excellent staff and cleanliness, good choice for breakfast. Great location, 5min walk to metro.Only down side road works outside hotel very noisy duringweekdays (this is outside the control of hotel)
Everything was very good
The location, interior design, and cleanliness were excellent. An improvement in breakfast, particularly by expanding the available options, is suggested
Great location. Short walk from Central Station. Across the street from Tivoli. Very nice room but quite tight including the bathroom. Still a good choice for accommodations in Copenhagen.
Bed is much to soft.
overpriced for what it is. Sounds from square came through the front of build. Building works also across front of hotel from early morning. Nothing in room for water , tea etc.. no fridge - felt as if the room was poor for price paid. Breakfast would not be worth £20+ per person with a very limited hot food selection. Coffee machines very slow and queries in breakfast room for this reason i only took breakfast 1 morning. much better hotels found by my friends staying the same week.
Unfortunately the room wasn’t as clean but I noticed in the last days that there was hair from Other people on the walls in the bathroom. The room was extremely small for the money I paid for it. The window didn’t stay open by itself. All in all good.
Great room. Great location with easy walk to nearby sights and a metro station.
The hotel is situated very close to city center. The room was comfortable and the breakfast was good.
Clean and pleasant. Nice and accommodating staff. Not bad location. Tiny room. There wasn't even a chair in there. Due to the next building being quite close, there was no air circulation in the room.
The room was excelent clean, the breakfast was super..all peaple were freindly. For elder guests you should offer a room with beds where it is possible stepping onto the bed sideways ! Dietmar
Great location good breakfast and friendly staff. Room was not adequate as for our 3 nights the air conditioning system made loud vibrating noises every 20 minutes throughout the night whether on or off so we didn’t sleep well for our stay
Great hotel. Very comfortable. Great location too.
Good situated, nice beds, we missed a table and two chairs.and too much trouble to be able to watch tv.
Lovely Clean Rooms, Excellent Shower, friendly staff and a great breakfast, all at a reasonable price in a very central location.
The hotel was clean and nice. Staff was friendly and breakfast was good. It was great to have two keycards even though I travelled alone because I was alle to have the airconditioner on while I was away so the room was not too hot. I also liked the ”no cleaning today” option. Only thing that I missed was a little shelf in the bathroom for toiletry bag and a minibar.
Beautiful room and amazing view
The room was much smaller than the usual motel one room and not at the latest standard. It needs renovation, especially the bathroom is very dissatisfying, with a shower, not holding the water in (no seal at all) and no shelf, extremely small and no tight door. All the rest was the usual good motel one standard.
Room was great and clean, bed was very comfortable. Communication before we arrived was good and helped accommodate our requests. Would definitely return and recommend
Overall a good hotel, and lovely stay. I arrived at 12 from an international flight, initially told my room wouldn’t be available until after 3 pm, however when I checked an hour later I was able to check in & really appreciated that as I was exhausted. I feel the breakfast should be included in the room rate. Would prefer secure wifi network.
Young Professional and kind people, particularly Lucia. best position, very clean, breakfast top. Rooms could be a little bigger. (At least the one I stayed).
The entire motel was clean, updated and well-appointed. The common spaces were well decorated and the breakfast was very good with great variety. Our room was a bit warm at night with only the fan and the window only tilting in slightly. Had it been any warmer outside during our stay it might have been too warm for sleeping.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Provided take away breakfast on morning of our departure at 5.00am. breakfast selection was excellent each day. Room was spotless and comfortable. Maybe provide a recyclable shower cap in bathroom would be good idea. Would definitely stay there again and hopefully visit other motel one hotels in Europe in future based on our stay here.
Fantastic experience! Welcome, team, services, room, breakfast ... everything was perfect. It was beyond expectations even. We will certainly come back and highly recommend motel one CPH.
Greatvlocation to be able to walk everywhere, very nice employees at the bar and Rezeption, very clean, very nice room
Good location and decor was nice however beds including mattress and pillows too soft therefore difficult to sleep due to being uncomfortable. No chair in room and as bed uncomfortable meant no space to sit comfortably in bedroom. No usb outlets. General lack of surface space to put things such as toiletries in both bathroom and bedroom. Overall not up to the usual quality of motel one ( I have previously stayed in Brussels,Amsterdam, Barcelona and both Edinburgh motel ones ). The thing that would have made a difference would be better mattress and pillows
Fabulous hotel in great location. Super breakfast, room & staff. Will definitely stay again.
Wonderful stay. Made to feel welcome from the start. All staff were excellent especially Mineala at the front desk. Rooms were large. Would definitely stay here again.
Good location however it took three times to convince staff member the fan would not work and we could not open windows. Moved to another room smaller however fan worked. Another staff member explained child lock on window. Otherwise the staff very helpful and bed very comfortable and room quiet.
This was the second time we stayed in this hotel. It is very well located and the rooms are clean and comfortable. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. If you want to pay for a hotel breakfast, the food and beverage choices are very good. There were a few negatives. Our room was so stuffy and hot. The fan helped slightly but was not adequate. Opening the window was out of the question as the noise from the street was too loud. The windows open very wide and if I had small children this would be a major safety concern. Finally, the TV only having Chromecast makes it unusable for people who cannot use modern technology, like my elderly mother who accompanied us on our trip. This is not a very inclusive decision at all!
I liked most everything but not the bathroom in my room there was no privacy
Over all we had a good experience. The staff were mostly nice and friendly. The room was compact and clean. The only thing that we didn’t like was the bathroom door which couldn’t be closed.
This is an elegant hotel located in an excellent part of town. On top of our positive experiences in general, the hotel staff kindly also treated us to a lovely breakfast due to a miscommunication that inconvenienced us. We appreciated the gesture very much!
Federico, the Bar Keeper was super friendly to us and Served Great bavarages! Thanks!
We had a great stay! The staff were incredibly welcoming, everything was clean, and the location was perfect. The breakfast was also a nice bonus—tasty and convenient. Highly recommend!
Very good room and service.
Frederico in the bar was especially helpful and charming. But all the staff were lovely and a great team. Thank you
Good points: - Good, central location - Friendly service - Bike rental convenience - Bar had the usual good offerings found at a Motel One. - Breakfast excellent as at all Motel Ones. - Beer on tap I haven't seen at a Motel One before. Huge improvement. - The room decor was much better than in a normal Motel One. Probably because it was a restored hotel rather than new, cheaper construction. - Bed was extremely comfortable. Bad points: - Street noise. I didn't mind no air conditioning. The ceiling fan was more than enough. But that means keeping the windows open, and that in turn means street noise. - There was no privacy at all with the window facing multiple floors of other windows. So if you wanted to relax in the room without people seeing you, you had to draw the curtains, which made it very dark. - I missed the fish in the aquarium (or in winter, a fire) that usually greet you at a Motel One on the TV. I don't watch much TV in a hotel, but some kind of Chromecast set up I had zero interest in setting up. Yet another tech hassle. - I changed my dates and ended up being charged a higher rate for ALL the dates. I felt this was a little cheap on Motel One's part. I didn't bother to complain about it as I didn't want to waste time, but the rate should have been kept the same. - Bar area was a little small. - Price was very expensive, even for Copenhagen.
My biggest gripe was the front desk manger, (he wore a sport coat), I addressed my issues with the room being unbearably hot, didn’t provide much assistance. Your staff should provide information on how to offload your luggage due to no parking in front of the hotel. WiFi did not work in the room. You have great staff and housekeeping in general.
Staff were very friedly. The room was clean. I liked that there were scrambled eggs and bacon available at the breakfast buffet. It would have been nice if there was also a tissue box in the bathroom. The Wi-Fi did not really work in my room. Otherwise it was an excellent stay... maybe a bit expensive but I think that the price is adequate for Copenhagen.
Very nice cosy comfortable hotel But 1 thing is missing: the fish screensaver on tv screen And some tv channels Thank you Sorina very kind And the girls at breakfast very kind and smiling
Pleasant stay right in the center of Copenhagen, very nice staff , clean room than had everything we needed. Thank you
Very nice comfortable hotel but please some TV channels needed at least local channels. And the MotelOne Fish TV screen is a must! Thank you Sorina she was very kind.
The front staff was nice, but they didn’t let me in my room until 30 minutes after check-in was supposed to happen, so I was sitting and waiting. There’s also no AC, so I was sweating in there - it was cooler in the hallway. The room was clean, and the staff was nice tho, so it was fine. Good location too
Beautiful room, good beds, a little soft for me :-)
Excellent location. A M A Z I N G Staff! All of them. Missing air condition is a big minus, especially with hot weather. The fan is not enough! Insect nets can be a plus if you need to keep your window open. :-)

Your hotel in Copenhagen
Our affordable design hotel in Copenhagen is located right in the centre of the Danish capital, opposite the city hall and the Rådhuspladsen. From here, you can easily reach all of Copenhagen’s top sights – and there are plenty of them to explore. After all, the capital is one of the most important cities in northern Europe and a popular destination for city breaks, not least because it offers one of the best qualities of life in the world.
What does Copenhagen have to offer?
Top of the list of highlights is the city’s iconic landmark, The Little Mermaid. The statue of the character from Hans Christian Anderson’s fairytale awaits you on the Langelinie waterside promenade, around 30 minutes from our hotel. You’ll also find Copenhagen’s citadel here, a star-shaped 17th century fortress open to the public. And did you spot Charlottenborg Palace and the Old Stock Exchange on the walk over? You’ll also have passed Christiansborg Palace, the seat of the Danish parliament. It’s conveniently located by Copenhagen’s gastronomic hub, Nyhavn, or ‘new harbour’. There’s something to suit everyone’s tastes in the streets of this area, with their brightly coloured gabled houses dating from the 18th and 19th centuries. But Copenhagen’s lively history as a port and trading city – and the resulting architecture – is far from the only reason to visit. By the harbour, you’ll find the Royal Danish Theatre and Royal Danish Library, also known as the ‘Black Diamond’. Here, it’s not just what’s on the inside that counts: these notable examples of modern architecture are worth a stop on any city tour. And if they’ve inspired you to seek out more Nordic design, the Design Museum Denmark displays objects from the workshops of Danish designers such as Arne Jacobsen and Poul Henningsen.
Just a short walk from our hotel lies Freetown Christiania, an autonomous area that offers a very different perspective on Copenhagen – including from an architectural point of view. The alternative housing development in the district of Christianshavn has been self-governed since its creation in the 1970s and is a symbol of Denmark’s progressive culture. Our hotel in Copenhagen is also a perfect starting point for leisure activities: Tivoli, the world’s oldest amusement park, lies directly opposite. Or is Copenhagen just the first step on your Nordic discovery tour? Perfect: our affordable design hotel is located just north of the Øresund Bridge, which links Copenhagen with its neighbour Sweden.
