Third or fourth time I’ve stayed there. Always a great experience. Staff really kind and helpful.
I am a regular in Manchester Royal Exchange and Glasgow central Motel One hotels. I highly recommend both hotels. Manchester Royal is like my second home the past year or so. My work makes me be here in Manchester Royal Exchange hotel up to 4/5 days a week sometimes even longer. It's extremely clean, quiet and very central for all shops, restaurants and train stations. The staff are extremely lovely. They are mainly the reason I come back again and again. Especially Fatima (who I adore), Michael, Matthew, Mario and Elettra. The night staff Mo and Nile are great guys (quite funny guys), The manager Maguy The best coffee makers are Fatima and lovely Mario. Not saying other staff aren't. I just don't know the other staff as well. I can't say one negative thing about the hotel or any of the staff they currently have tbh. After this completely honest review I am expecting to be invited on Christmas night out this year otherwise my opinion will change. 😁

Good and efficient staff always
Mostly fine but the TV didn't work (kinda ok, not really a biggie) but the shower was cold which is a real basic thing. When reported on check out, we weren't offered a partial refund which I'd assume is just good business for customer satisfaction.
We enjoyed our stay here, the check in and out was very easy and the staff were ver friendly. The room was tidy but unfortunately we had no hot water in the shower, despite letting it run for a long time. Other than that it was an ok experience.

Had a really good stay, amazing location. Staff were helpful, very nice lounge area. Bed was super comfy. Room was on the smaller side but it wasn’t a problem, only thing there was no fridge which isn’t the end of the world.
check in wonderful, staff excellent! bar service also excellent and room cleanliness I'd say we're really very happy. If we're being critical, not being able to open the bedroom window at all was a big disappointment. The cups provided to drink coffee/tea from were awkward to drink from because of the rim/screw feature.. also no plug socket next to the drink station is not great nor convenient. Also embarrassing, but no bin bag in the bin in the bathroom? No sanitary provision in the bathrooms? We ended up bringing our rubbish home to save embarrassment and to save your housekeeping staff from having to deal with this. Why don't you put bags in your bins? Where's the recycling options?

Lovely large clean room friendly staff very quiet evening though in city centre. Only 1 criticism with getting into the car park. You have to stop on double yellow lines to get a fob from reception i could have got a parking ticket this is something that could be reevaluated. Thanks for the hospitality.
Great hotel, excellent location
We were impressed by the ambience and décor when we walked through the door., but even more impressed by the warm welcome we received from your receptionist who was efficient, friendly and professional. She made sure that we got the room we would need and was helpful when we asked about directions and places to eat etc. Great work!
I'm completely satisfied, which is why I always choose this Hotel when I visit Manchester. That is despite having to pay the extra charge at the weekend, which is unavoidable, owing to flight schedules back to Greece.

The staff were very helpful and friendly. The room was immaculate. The location is brilliant, especially if attending The Royal Exchange Theatre. The only drawback is that they do not have cooked breakfasts. There are plenty of places to get one though. Will not put me off staying there again.

We had a wonderful stay, no fuss, comfortable bed, nice shower, and the staff were more than helpful Darren in particular on reception was really helpful ensuring that my friend had anything she needed for her accessibility needs. the hotel itself was well kept clean and comfortable I would recommend.

The hotel does everything it says on the tin. Great bed, great shower and really friendly and helpful staff. We arrived on a very rainy evening and as we had booked parking we were promptly guided to the car park. Check in was straight forward and we were soon in our room and relaxing. The hotel is a few seconds walk from the centre of Manchester which was perfect for our Christmas shopping spree.
Location was perfect for our 3 nights stay exploring the christmas markets and access to all shops, bars and restaurants. Property had a lovely modern ambience in the reception/bar area. Our room had a good view of the street, but no ventilation. Room was clean but small and had no storage space. Shower room was small but modern with a lovely shower. The room was hot and stuffy and unable to adjust even after reporting to reception. Some of the reception staff was very friendly and helpful, others was ignorant and didn't acknowledge you. Under ground parking was good.
As always really good. Central location, adequate city centre sized rooms, well equipped, clean, check in on line, speedy in and out, really nice staff.

Well presented and modern hotel in the centre of Manchester, walking distance to lots of attractions and great pubs and restaurants. Parking (at an extra charge) was also useful. All the team members we came across were really friendly and helpful. Great bar and seating areas to enjoy a drink and watch the hustle and bustle outside.
This was my first time using Motel One and I was very happy with the value for money, as the quality of the room and professionalism of the staff for the price paid was excellent. The only issue I had was the booking process. The website defaulted to German and I could not get it to display in English. I somehow ended up booking the wrong dates as there was also no date re-confirmation on the booking page. The confirmation emails also came through in German. Luckily, the incredibly helpful receptionist, Danny, sorted this out for me on arrival, but I think the company needs to address this as it is probably losing them customers and causing other errors. I am a seasoned traveller who worked in the travel industry for a long time, so I persevered. Others may not. If it hadn't been for the booking issues, I would have scored my stay a 10.
Based in Central location. Unfortunately our room looked out on to the car park. The room was average size with everything we needed. Clean room with extremely comfy bed. Check in quick and friendly staff. Left baggage the day of departure with no problems.
The staff were very personable. Front desk, bar, breakfast staff all really lovely. Room was spotless and our modification requests were accomadated.

I have stayed at Motel One Royal Exchange now 4 times and I LOVE it every time. The staff are so friendly, the rooms are so clean and comfortable and the location is amazing. I always highly recommend this hotel to all friends and family...and I am looking forward to booking again for November 2026 x

Nice casual friendly vibe. Great location for the main shopping mall and the old historic pub. Also very close to the cathedral and the hidden gem catholic church.

Top hotel waren er met een vriendengroep schone kamers ! Lekker grote handdoeken . Super vriendelijk personeel 24uur per dag. We waren eerder bij deze keten in Studgard gaan dit vaker boeken 👍🏻!!

Super fijne kamer en erg schoon! Super aardig en fijn personeel die ook hebben geholpen met een kleine blessure die ik tijdens het sporten had opgelopen! Would recommend!
Motel One is een uitstekende plek om een paar dagen te verblijven. De ligging is geweldig. Kamers klein maar verder prima. Ontbijt uitstekend. Gezellige bar om de dag af te sluiten.
Ik zou het hotel zeer aanbevelen, heel centraal gelegen, makkelijke verbinding van de luchthaven. Hotel erg netjes, zeer vriendelijk en behulpzaam personeel! Goed uitgebreid ontbijtbuffet. Kortom erg goed verblijf gehad!

Hotel Manchester-Royal Exchange
Het design van ons Motel One Manchester-Royal Exchange met de moderne industriële look doet denken aan de traditie van Manchester als 'Cottonopolis': hier draait alles zich om de grondstof katoen en de katoennijverheid. Aan de ingang brengen de zes meter hoge ronde bogen van staal en een wand van bedrukt linnen je meteen in de stemming van ons designthema. Naast meubels van Baxter en hanglampen van Alturo Alvarez zorgen kleine details, zoals spoelen en spinmachines, voor nog wat extra 'katoen'-accenten.
Een absolute blikvanger is het wandkunstwerk 'Cottonopolis' van de papierkunstenaar Andy Singleton waarin losse draden worden verwerkt tot een echt kunstwerk.
Ons voordelige hotel ligt direct tegenover het Royal Exchange Theatre, in het hartje van de binnenstad. Het stadhuis, de kathedraal van Manchester, de Manchester Arena en het Manchester Central Convention Complex liggen op wandelafstand. Praktische tips: de stations Victoria en Manchester Piccadilly liggen heel dichtbij, wat handig is voor uitstappen iets verder weg.
