Really unhappy with the customer service and the experience we had at the reception. After getting the keys and going up to the room, we heard sounds from the room and could not open the door. We thought the sound is coming from other rooms and still tried to open the door. Upon opening the door we encountered two people having sex in our room!! We went down and informed the receptionist, he did not apologize and said it must have been the system or something else and gave us another room. I find his attitude very problematic, he could have at least apologized let alone offering us something as a sign of good will and good customer service. He acted as if walking in people’s room having sex is normal and ok in a hotel, I wonder what those people think and if they felt safe afterwards having someone opening their door. Adding to that, when checking in at the beginning he asked my name and I had to repeat it 3 times for him to understand (I don't have a European last name) and then asking my partners name (German last name) he said it would have been easier if it was under their name and not mine and he thought he is being funny! Very disrespectful and problematic! I would not book Motel one again and would not recommend it to any one else, such a shame! Thanks, Sahar Shamssharif
I have been Upper West many times. I enjoy coming back through the years! The breakfast and room just the way I like it. No complaints.
En una ciudad tan emblemática como lo es Berlín llegar a un hotel que tiene excelentes precios, comodidad y diseño se aprecia mucho.
Excellent location, clean rooms, and generally friendly staff. However, one aspect that was entirely unacceptable was the rooftop terrace – which had been prominently advertised. The bar area was consistently understaffed or appeared to be poorly managed. Wait times for placing orders – and for those orders to be delivered – routinely exceeded ten minutes. Additionally, large portions of the terrace were often closed off with the explanation that there was not enough staff available. The terrace also lacked basic amenities such as sun umbrellas, making it extremely uncomfortable to sit there under direct sunlight. Another disappointing aspect: in the evening, guests are met at the main entrance by a sort of bouncer, tasked with screening external visitors. This creates an unwelcoming atmosphere – especially when the staff member is seen smoking and casually chatting with friends, acquaintances, or relatives.

Everyone, from the reception team to housekeeping, was helpful and friendly. I’d like to thank Michelle in particular for her genuinely warm smile. The terrace experience also added great value. As a guest who frequently chooses your properties, I want to share something in a friendly spirit and without naming anyone: while the terrace bar staff were generally very friendly, one of them (whose name I won’t mention) behaved noticeably coldly each of the four evenings I visited. I don’t like to be prejudiced about such things, but after four visits you can be sure. I don’t want to single them out and create a negative experience for them, but I think you’ll be able to guess who it is. It’s clear they need a bit more training and orientation. Other than that, everything was as it should be.

Room and the bed was great. Reducing a couple of points because the TV screenshare didn't work in my room and the room is quite cramped (small).
The hotel chose a wonderful room on the top floor for us. The staff at the reception desk was proficient, always friendly and helpful. The location of the property is great with easy access to public transportation at the Bahnhof Zoo.

Very small room with more or less no opportunity to leave our luggage somewhere. Recommended, if you only go there for sleeping.

Lovation is 10, breakfast and space is 7, bar is confusing, tales much to Long to be serviced, up to 15 Minutes to wait for a drink.

Overall very good. I arrived slightly before the due check-in and was told my room was not ready yet. I waited half an hour and went back to reception to be told still not ready, though can give you another room. I feel the first receptionist should have offered this initially. The hotel is well located and, while the rooms are quite small, they are well appointed, nice bathroom and very comfortable bed. Very quiet over night. My second visit and will always return here.
Overall good experience, very nicely cleaned rooms, good breakfast. A fridge and maybe one or two square meters more in the room would not hurt. Maybe there are other options for 1 person other than what i booked.

Nice Hotel with perfect location
I love the location and the room. The breakfast is also ok but it can be improved. I had an accident in the room. I was given a PWD room which I love because its big. Only the the dor handle of the bathroom is weird because its not located near the edge of the door but its near the center of the door. So when I pulled the door with a force because its big and heavy, the edge of the door hit my face, causing almost an inch wound on my eyebrows. I went to the manager and complained the weird location of the door handle. If the handle is located close to the edge, the accident will not happen. The manager was not sympathetic. He lacks the customer service oriented gestures. He offered free breakfast, but I said that my room has breakfast already. So he gave me one drink coupon. I told him that I am not after anything, but to provide me the medicine or wound ointment. He said that they don't have and they will not ask a staff to go out and get a wound ointment for me. I was very disappointed with how the manager handled my situation. He did not even ask how am I doing, or If I need assistance to get to a hospital.

En general mi experiencia ha sido buena. Si no pongo mayor puntuación es por ver que está empezando a notarse el uso y desgaste. Falta un poco el cuidado y detalle. En el baño el teléfono de la ducha defectuoso, haciendo que salieran chorros de agua por las juntas. La moqueta algo desgastada. Falta de escritorio (al ser estancia laboral la echaba en falta al tener que trabajar y conectarme desde la habitación). Armario minúsculo (20 centímetros, con apenas 2 perchas, más otras 3 en barra junto al espejo).Pero lo que más me ha decepcionado es ver que ha bajado un poco la calidad y variedad en el desayuno (19.-€ por persona y noche), siendo el café de máquina el que más ha sido afectado (se ha debido disminuir la calidad o cantidad de café por bebida seleccionada, ya que apenas sabía a café ninguna de las opciones ofertadas). Y sin un buen café con el que comenzar el día, mal comienzo. Deseando salir del hotel cada mañana para poder tomar un café antes de comenzar la jornada laboral. En el bar, muy popular por las tardes/noches, también se nota el desgaste y ajuste de la calidad.
El hotel en general esta muy bien pero la habitación que me dieron era excesivamente pequeña. No tenía espacio para poner la ropa ni donde colocar la maleta.

las habitaciones son demasiado pequeñas. Baño muy pequeño y con poco servicio de ammenities. No tiene nevera. No se puede estar muchos dias porque no hay armario. Incluso tuvimos que pedir cambio porque orientaba a un patio con aparatos de aire acondicionado y mucho ruido. Desayuno caro para la oferta que tienen.
Cumple las expectativas: ubicación, confort, personal, cafetería, limpieza y atención.
Mala experiencia en recepción. Habiamos reservado en la pagina web del hotel una habitacion que tenia que ser a partir de la 11 planta y nos dieron en 4 planta. En la recepción no nos ayudaron nada

Ubicación excelente, trato del personal muy eficiente y amable, desayuno fantástico. Lo único negativo es el poco espacio en la habitación, con muy poco espacio para colocar ropa en estantería (muy estrecha) o colgar ropa, almohadas de relleno sintético, un poco incómodas para mi gusto. Falta de un escritorio (pero con una mesita redonda)
