I had requested a quiet room away from the noisy street front as I was staying for two nights for business meetings. I had to move rooms twice after I got there, as the first two rooms had no hot water. The third room I was given was directly above a noisy street with people coming out of bars until 2.30am, even though I had specifically asked not to be placed on that side of the hotel. I got three hours sleep. Very unimpressed.
Hotel location very central. Rooms clean and en suite shower room good. Buffet breakfast was well presented and tasty. Reception staff were very helpful and friendly.

Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt bei ihnen. Es waren alle sehr freundlich, hilfsbereit und zuvorkommend. Das Zimmer hat unsere Erwartungen getroffen und wir haben sehr gut geschlafen.
There was loud guests next to my room who woke me up a couple of times the first night and this was no fun for me because I needed to get up for work. I talked to the reception and they were understanding and told me the other guests were checking out. The breakfast is nice, the cheese was a bit dried out a couple of mornings as if it was from the day before...
We have family in Newcastle and have stayed at Motel One on many occasions. It’s very central exactly where we want to be with Monument Metro a stroll away . Great views from top floors and great accommodation.
I received a warm and efficient welcome at the hotel, my room was very clean and well equipped. I had a few excellent cocktails in the bar and all the staff were very helpful and friendly at all times. I would have liked a few more hot breakfast options but other than that it was a perfect stay in a comfortable, stylish and well located hotel

The only adverse comment is relating to the bar service,,Both staff were very busy mixing cocktails which is time consuming..,but they could do with help.They delivered drinks to seated customers but that took time away from service,I queued for over 25 minutes and the staff were busy all the time,perhaps less experienced staff could help with delivering drinks or serving straightforward drinks.
Very helpful staff arrived early were able to to check in early, every where was spotless nice bar area and central to shops and restaurants and bars we were able to leave our luggage on check out until we caught our train which was great

very nice stay ut fell when i got out of the lift trying to open a very stiff door next morning bump on brow and black eyes . reported it to reception
Overall, the venue was clean and comfortable. The only complaint I would have is that, in my room, ( which we were told we had been upgraded) there was nowhere to put anything. No drawers, no shelves and only a rail with just 2 hangers. This meant that my clothes stayed in the suitcase. I would have preferred to stay in the rooms that were originally booked
Great Location, Friendly Staff, Nice Continental Breakfast. Unfortunately we had a disturbed sleep, due to our room (538) being too warm. Despite turning the thermostat to zero & opening the window we found it uncomfortably warm. I mentioned this to reception when checking out

Great place to stay
Staff friendly and helpful. Place showing some wear, but in general quite clean and well kept. I don't believe my room had been vacuumed after the guest who was there before me checked out.
As a customer who has booked about 3/4 stays in motel one per year over the last 10 years through either booking.com or direct with motel one website , I feel that some standards have slightly dropped over the last year. This still is and will be my go to hotel stay when in Newcastle, however being grilled for a name, room number and my wife’s name at midnight while I have my door entry key card in my hand as if we are trying to sneak into a party is not ideal. We had 4 couples staying at the motel all aged between 57 to 67 so not looking to go to a room and party. I was in room 555 water pressure very poor had to fix the shower head myself to stop it leaking. Although staying in the hotel from Thursday to Sunday the non existent view from our window was onto a plain wall I would have thought because of using the room for 4 days a more appealing view might be considered for longer stay customers. I would hope this was not as good an experience as a one off as I always normally really enjoy my stay with you. Please take this as constructive criticism as I mentioned this is the first time in numerous stays that I have been dissatisfied with my stay. Regards Tony Grenfell
Check in not great. We had requested a twin room on booking.com. She said you only had 5 I think and all were gone was that ok. As too ladies I said not ideal and what other options are there and we were told in quite a snippy manor we could pay for a 2nd room. I said that wasn't really an option and it was a take it or leave it attitude. I appreciate from what the lady said Booking.com only reserved a standard but it was the way it was handled that I felt was a little harsh. hence the mark down. Also it was like getting through the gestapo trying to get in at night. Even though you have a room key you have to wait in line for a guy to check you off the list, Everyone queuing was 50-70 years old so hardly young party animals. Felt a bit OTT On the plus it is a lovely central hotel. Very clean and tidy and a super comfy bed.
Great hotel in a fantastic location.
The room was comfortable and had a view over the city. Bathroom and shower was fine. The room was quiet. The staff were friendly and helpful. I can't comment on the bar or breakfast as we didn't use either. The bathroom would have scored a 9 but the shower ran cool mid shower. We booked online via the hotel website.

The staff were so helpful from the minute I checked in, to the minute I left... wonderful stay, with great staff.
What a lovely hotel. Really good price and rooms are very clean and modern with everything you need for a short stay. I didn't include breakfast so can't comment on that but everything else was very good.

A lovely hotel, room wasnt the largest, but none the less it was clean and tidy and the location is spot on.
As ever, a great stay. Convenient city centre location, friendly welcome, a well-appointed room, a comfortable bed and an undisturbed night's sleep. All at a reasonable price. Thoroughly recommend.
The Hotel was very welcoming as were the staff. My room was excellent and very well presented. The only reason I have not given a 10 score is the expected use of plastic mugs to drink tea and coffee which were stained and not nice at all and let the whole place down. Also my room was a little cold despite turning the thermostat up and the free wifi was unprotected.

Excelente servicio, atención y ubicación. Por poner algún punto de mejora, se podría ofrecer en el desayuno alguna opción más de comida caliente. Perfecta la opción de enchufe continental europeo, para los despistes de adaptador. Dejo un 9 porque siempre hay algo que mejorar.
The girl on reception was rude. The heating didn’t work very well in the room and the cups were plastic

Really enjoyed our recent stay at Motel One Newcastle. It's a really lovely hotel, with friendly staff and a beautiful reception and bar area. The location was perfect for shopping with lots of choice for restaurants and bars within walking distance too. Although the bedrooms are compact they are well designed and for the price we paid, it was an absolute bargain! Would definitely stay here again for any future visits to the fabulous city of Newcastle.

I would have given 10 but there was no hot water for a shower on the morning
Extremely helpful and friendly reception. The bed cover (to my mind) was set too far from the top of the bed. The top of the cover came only to my waist whereas I think most people would like their shoulders covered. Not wishing to get out and remake the bed I slept with pillow half way down the bed. Which was fine. I had a good night's sleep. But maybe something to take on board?
Excellent building, clean and contemporary. Room clean and comfortable. En-suite clean and contemporary Receptionist welcoming. Bar staff very accommodating but only person to man bar and make toasties in another location meant other customers were waiting to be served at the bar. Breakfast was good. Option for 2 single beds would be good in rooms.
This is our 4th time at the newcastle motel hotel, every visit, has been excellent, from walking in to leaving the staff are excellent, hotel is in central area, which is perfect for getting around easily..
It was okay overall, but the price on Saturdays feels too high for what’s offered. I wouldn’t mind paying more if the hotel included additional luxuries like a bathtub or a minibar. As it stands, it seems overpriced compared to other hotels by the river that offer better views for the same rate. I might stay again during the week, but for a Saturday visit, it just doesn’t feel worth the extra cost.
Good room for what we needed for our 2 night stay. Im not sure on cleanliness but seemed clean apart from a used paper cup with coke in at the side of the bed. The hot water for the shower lasted long enough for me to wet my body then went cold unfortunately. Otherwise, great motel and great location central to everything we needed. Staff were polite and efficient too.
