Clean, spacious and quiet.

Would be nice that if you put beforehand that you do not want cleaning in the room - that you do not need to hang anything extra on the door to make the staff aware of it - why are you even asking that then? Secondly - if we do our check in alone and the check in aswell and not ask for cleaning - who is working in the hotel then? Would be nice to appreciate this with like a stupid discount of 5€ or so. And if we get water as “members”, then this water should wait for us in the room. Not be handed out like the bar is the reception. Terrible! Additionally - the coffe at the breakfast is sock water. I know that german coffee culture is like 0, but the guests in the hotel are mostly not german. Offering me a coffee of this low quality for this price of breakfast is really embarrassing. Additionally only having boiled eggs is really questionable. The worst breakfast I had in my life in a hotel - and I was all over the world, including England - and there the food is terrible. But your breakfast is topping all of it. The WiFi is a PUBLIC NETWORK? How sick is this. I thought safety of data is in Germany kinda important.
Lovely staff & great place to stay. A critique for Motel One, the entire chain: Booking was a bit troublesome because website was down, I could not book online, nor become a member of the BeOne Club, my confirmation of booking via link kindly sent by mail also turned out impossible due to the system failure. Guaranteed booking by phone transmission of credit card info initially seemed not acceptable these days. As a "born-analogue" person, my preference is for great flexibility in booking routes, & stable pricing no matter which booking method, independent of silly marketing ploys like club memberships.
The hotel is very comfortable and clean. The stay was made great by curtious, and helpful staff. The bar offers a fantastic selection of Gin and its service is fab. The hotel is located centrally in Berlin-Mitte with public transport in close proximity.

I liked the location (short distance to Museumsinsel and Potsdamer Platz), I liked the decoration (everything newspaper related) and most of all I liked the kind personnel, the welcoming and friendly barkeepers, helpful reception staff, everything went easy and light with the solution minded and friendly people you had these 4 days in this Motelone Spittelmarkt. Congratulations!

A modern hotel with all the amenities necessary for a hotel stay. Conveniently located next to a underground station, an excellent bar with a great variety of Gins, very friendly hotel staff.
There is no kettle, and the light broke and it took hours to get resolved.

As always, everything was great. The only thing I was missing were the bins for separating trash - possibly located in the common areas. Another thing that I noticed and surprised me was the brand of the cleaning solutions the housekeeping is using to clean the rooms - Milizid. As you seem to be very much following sustainability and the green agenda, I would expect you to use some more bio cleaning solutions like Sonet or similar.
Rooms were good, as usual. But there was a Significant problem with temperature control. My room was persistently cold and it was impossible to turn off the A/C. When I asked at the desk they said there was nothing they could do as the building was centrally controlled. In contrast, my daughter’s room was very hot, stuffy and uncomfortable. Once again, they said that nothing could be done. Otherwise good, although the breakfast wA not quite as genera’s others in your group where we have stayed.

Good quality for the money you are spending on the trip. We had a room on the 9th floor. Rooms are good insulated but tapping of the elevator (technical room above I think) made it less comfortable. I also want to highlight that the price mentioned during my reservation was different than the price I payed at the reception. They told me that a glitch in the system says tourist tax was not included while on the online form it mentioned it did.

convenient location and a quiet atmosphere, it is always nice to return at this motelone. check in is fast and the reception make you feel welcome
I thankfully got into my room early (around 12 pm) and the room was quiet and clean, as always. Sadly, there was a problem with the electrics in the room, which tripped the breaker twice in one day. I had to sit around in the dark at night waiting for the issue to be fixed temporarily.

The only thing to improve would be the breakfast selection. There could be more options for hot food. The oat milk coffee machine at the breakfast is a great idea!
It was our first time staying, and it was great. The AC in the room was at the perfect temperature and the bed was really comfortable. Check in & out super smoothly

Once again a nice business stay with affordable prices. I love the beds in Motel One hotels. Relaxing nigths guaranteed. And nice stuff as always. Rented even a hozel bike for a private tour.
The stay was very pleasant. The rooms are beautiful and comfortable, but extremely small. It would be good to have an iron in a room to quickly freshen up the clothes. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The breakfast was excellent.

Nocujte v nejstarší berlínské čtvrti
To koukáš, co? Náš hotel ve čtvrti Berlin Mitte zaujme už svým exteriérem. Uprostřed strohých bytových domů, které jsou pro Berlín typické, stojí na Leipziger Straße půvabná cihlová budova, v níž sídlí hotel Motel One Berlín-Spittelmarkt. Tím se nachází přímo v bývalé berlínské novinové čtvrti, která vznikla koncem 19. století v důsledku industrializace tiskařského odvětví a kde dříve sídlilo více než pět set tiskáren a vydavatelství. Jádro této oblasti ohraničovala na severu Leipziger Straße a na západě Wilhelmstraße. Na východě se čtvrť táhla až k ulicím Axel-Springer-Straße a Lindenstraße, na jihu až k náměstí Mehringplatz. Původ a vlastní centrum historické novinové čtvrti představovalo sídlo deníku Berliner Tageblatt, jímž byl takzvaný Mossehaus. Ještě dnes se nachází na rohu Schützenstraße a Jerusalemer Straße, v těsné blízkosti hotelu. Budova je dnes památkově chráněná a je sídlem Centra pro výzkum literatury a kultury Berlín. Kvůli rozsáhlému poničení ve druhé světové válce a výstavbě zdi však čtvrť v průběhu let ztratila svůj původní význam. V interiéru našeho hotelu však její charakter žije dál. Vše se tu točí kolem tisku a žurnalistiky, kultury a literatury, ale i analogových a digitálních médií.
Již při vstupu do hotelu hosty uvítá Litfassův reklamní sloup – známý berlínský symbol pojmenovaný po zdejším tiskaři Ernstu Litfaßovi, který jej roku 1854 vymyslel. Originální schránka na noviny nabízí hostům místo deníků za vhození mince bezplatné vydání časopisu One Design. Samotná recepce se záměrně drží ve svém designu poněkud zpět, aby umožnila vyniknout hned naproti ležícímu baru. Velké závěsné lampy nad pultem vytvářejí industriální akcenty, které vtahují vnější vzhled budovy také do interiéru. Ocelové regály, velké posuvné dveře, průmyslová svítidla a otevřený pohled na stropní techniku, která byla natřena načerno, tento „industriální styl“ ještě umocňují.
V hotelu Spittelmarkt ve čtvrti Berlín-Mitte přichází ke slovu také umění vytvořené v souladu s tímto stylem: V lobby najdete díla umělkyně Ines Kouidis. Své obrazy vytváří z mnoha útržků novin a barevných, lesklých časopisů, které pak skládá do podoby portrétů. V našem hotelu získali čestné místo Marlene Dietrich, John F. Kennedy a Dawid Bowie – protože všichni měli ve svém životě k Berlínu mimořádné pouto. Jako reprodukce zdobí také stěny pokojů.
Pochopitelně nesmí chybět ani naše designová klasika, kultovní křeslo egg chair. Křeslo od Arneho Jacobsena je ideální kombinací moderního a útulného nábytku a zve – po boku velkorysých sedacích souprav a dalších možností k posezení – k příjemné relaxaci v našem salonku.
