Everything was just as you want it to be. Friendly staff, amazing room and the location couldn’t have been better. I am a very happy returning guest of Motel One❤️ heads up for Edinburgh Royal!

Hotel was very centrally located. Staff were very polite and helpful. Room was small, compact but exceptionally clean. Good quality bedding - comfy bed. Bathroom great.
Such a convenient place to stay being just by the station. The room was great, lovely, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was tasty. The staff were really friendly and had all the time in the world for you. Will definitely be staying again.
La estancia en su hotel en general cumplió nuestras expectativas pero el fallo de la calefacción no estuvo a la altura de su hotel. Si bien nos trajeron un calefactor a la habitación que nos digan que hasta el lunes no lo arreglarían, cuando solo estábamos un fin de semana, no fue una solución para nosotros. Para un hotel de su categoría esperábamos más. También tuvimos que reclamar las aguas por ser miembros...
Hotel was perfectly placed for our stay, very good location just on the edge of Old Town. We did not take the breakfast option as there are lots of options around to choose from. The staff were extremely helpful and the girl at the bar (sorry forgot the name) remembered our order every evening even though we were only there 3 nights. The hotel was very clean and very quiet with very comfortable beds and pillows. I would highly recommend.
Staff were very friendly and attentive. Nothing was too much bother for them. The bedroom was lovely, with a great view over Waverley. The breakfast let it down some what. Would be better with a fruit salad but the eggs were great. The state of the corridors wasn't great. However, there was a sign advising it was work on progress.
Waverly train station is just across the street!
We absolutely loved our stay at Motel One Edinburgh-Royal and wouldn’t hesitate to return! From the moment we arrived, everyone on the team was incredibly kind, welcoming, and helpful. The hotel itself is in a perfect location in Edinburgh, making it easy to explore the city’s main attractions on foot. After long days of sightseeing, it was wonderful to come back to a cozy, clean, and beautifully designed room. And the breakfast was fantastic! The perfect way to start each morning before heading out to explore. Overall, we had an excellent experience and highly recommend Motel One Edinburgh-Royal to anyone visiting Edinburgh. A wonderful hotel with exceptional service!
I had a wonderful stay at motel one! It was modern, clean, very well laid out and very comfortable. The gentleman who booked me in was very helpful and made me feel very welcome...great value for money too.

Wir lieben Motel One als Familie und würden natürlich auch wieder hier buchen falls wir nochmal nach Edinburgh kommen würden. Leider war das Zimmer seeeeehr eng, das ist uns auch teils selbst verschuldet weil wir nicht extra angegeben haben das wir ein Kleinkind dabei haben. Sonst war alles super und das Hotel ist sehr zentral, man kann fast alles zu Fuß erkunden.

Ganz wunderbarer Aufenthalt. Das Zimmer mit Aussicht war traumhaft, die Lage perfekt. Da ich angemerkt hatte, dass mein Partner zum Geburtstag mit dem Aufenthalt überrascht wird, lag sogar ein Geburtstagsgruß im Zimmer.

Unser Zimmer hatte leider ein sehr kleines Milchglasfenster, was wir so nicht gewöhnt sind. Ansonsten Top-Lage, super Personal, gemütliches Interieure.

Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist absolut überzeugend. Den einzigen Kritikpunkt gibt es für harten Kissen. Da wäre ein zusätzliches, kleines Kuschelkissen sehr wünschenswert!
Service was very friendly, location excellent. Room clean. Negative: Room worn and unfortunately extremely cold! The central heating system was set in such a way that when you turned on the room's central heating, only colder air flowed in. Based on this experience, I unfortunately wouldn't come again. If you can't individually adjust the heating in the room, at least some space heaters in the room for cold nights would be appropriate.
Staff were very friendly , sky light in bedroom was only natural light ,a blind on it would be great for the morning sunshine
Great location near the station A few nice bars in the area The rooms are very good The hotel is on the corner of a steep bendey hill that goes Up to the royal mile we found it hard work we are in are 70's the castle is at the end of the royal mile A further 1/2 mile all up hil but not As bad . The castle is well worth a visit
My son & I stayed in your Edinburgh Royal Hotel. We had 2 single rooms which unfortunately were on different floors. It would have been nice to have been next door to each other. However both rooms were clean, comfortable & cosy.
Das Hotel ist super gelegen und sehr sauber. Die Mitarbeiter sind freundlich und Hilfsbereit. Die Frühstückssituation war schwierig. - Zu viele Stühle auf zu engem Raum mit zu viel Gästen. Die Auswahl/Preis Leistung vom Frühstück ist im Vergleich zu anderen Hotels eher schlecht.
Very central hotel. Lovely friendly staff. Comfortable bed and good shower. Renovation being undertaken at the moment so some obvious disruption. Usual continental breakfast.
Amazing room with all what we need. The staff was amazing as well . Hotel is near to all sightseeing, and easy to reach from airport!

Was moved from original room due to transformer (?) buzzing above door to another room (401) that was quiet & comfortable. Staff were great.

Had room on 7th floor overlooking Waverley Station and Princes Street. Very noisy even with both windows shut. Had fan to make room cooler as hot when windows were both closed. Great attentive and helpful staff. Will try Princes Street Hotel next time.
Altogether very good. One thing for improvement- there was no shaver point in bathroom so unable to recharge electric toothbrush. Fairly basic requirement in a bathroom
The location was perfect, you could reach everything by foot! The room was nice and clean, only very small.
For the price we paid which was alot and also booking direct with the hotel are room was the furthest slowly had to take 2 lifts to get to it also had no window and was cold and very claustrophobic
You don’t have Draft beer and the bar tender didn’t know how to prepare an Irish Coffee! Except for these everything was great !

The motel is well situated in the centre of town, the rooms are clean, tidy and comfortable,,the staff are polite and friendly and the price is reasonable, the only downside was the continental breakfast, I would of like the choice of a cooked breakfast or continental breakfast x
Excellent location at east end of Princes St (although the entrance is tucked away just behind Princes Street), with friendly and helpful staff, comfortable rooms with good sound insulation. The only negative was the fact that WiFi did not work in any of the rooms we (group of 7) had, only in the lounge (and there too there were occasional problems).
Fue buena, el personal amable. Pero hubo un día que no pasaron a hacernos la habitación. Al día siguiente lo reclamamos, antes de salir se nos cayó un poco de agua en las sábanas y cuando llegamos la cama estaba hecha y las sábanas EMPAPADAS. No habia forma de dormir ahí, era nuestra ultima noche y tuvimos que poner toallas por la cama. En conclusión, buena ubicación, buen trato pero no cuesta los 900 euros que nos costó y tampoco creo que volvamos a ese hotel. Lo lamento, sus empleados muy majos pero la limpieza deja mucho que desear.

An amazing hotel & great place to stay. Depending on your room, it may be a little tricky to find but it's no reason not to stay here. It's location is top knotch and so are the workers.
It was only a short stay; 2 nights. The location is amazing and the hotel has a lovely atmosphere. It’s well decorated and comfortable. The only complaint we have is that our room wasn’t made up/cleaned after the first night; not even after we complained about it at reception.

+super Lage - sehr zentral +schöne Aussicht aus den Zimmer +schönes Design (Zimmer & Hotel) +Betten sind gemütlich +freundliches Personal +deutsche Sender im TV verfügar +Wlan war sehr gut +kleine Aufmerksamkeit im Zimmer, weil einer von uns Geburtstag hatte (Glückwunschkarte) - Danke dafür -Check-In-Zeit um 15 Uhr war für uns nicht ideal, da wir recht früh angereist sind. Wir durften unsere Koffer jedoch einstweilen im Abstellraum lagern. Gerne hätten wir eine Möglichkeit zum früheren Check-In in Anspruch genommen. -Klotüre in Zimmer lies sich nicht schließen (wir mussten etwas davorstellen) und es gab kein Schloss zum Verschließen der Klotüre. Die Kritikpunkte entsprechen unseren persönlichen Erfahrungen/Empfindungen vorort während unseres Aufenthaltes. Sehr zum Empfehlen!
