This is arguably one of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed in, something which came as a shock considering the cost, around €70 for the night. With most hotels in the area costing over €100 for the night, I wasn’t sure what to expect with MotelOne but what a wonderful surprise it was. For a start, the location is a 14 minute walk from the Train Station and in a nice spot for local restaurants and the various sights Rotterdam has to see. Although it doesn’t look much from the outside, the interior of the lobby is decorated in a modern style whilst still being pleasing to the eye and having its own character. The rooms are spacious, again decorated tastefully with a huge comfy bed and a large bathroom. Air conditioning in the room was a godsend after a day in 32 degree heat, again something that contributed to a relaxing and comfortable nights sleep. There’s also WiFi, a Safe and TV in all rooms (no English channels but I didn’t visit Holland to sit in my room and watch TV!) There’s also a beautiful rooftop bar/ terrace overlooking the local area, which unfortunately I didn’t get to use much during my stay, but there was ample seating both indoors and outdoors - again decorated tastefully with swinging chairs for a casual drink or tables and chairs for breakfast dining or a more formal evenings food and drinks. I didn’t eat at the hotel due to the variety of restaurants in the local area but the menu seemed reasonably priced and had a choice for every taste should I have wished to. The staff themselves were welcoming and helpful at all times with no request seeming too much for them. We were able to securely store our baggage before checking in, which allowed us to make the most of the city without having to watch our bags. Before visiting I signed up to MotelOne, I didn’t realise at the time but this gave me 10% off my stays and a bottle of water on arrival which I found to be a really nice touch. All in all, I would recommend this Hotel to absolutely anyone who visits Rotterdam, business or private! The only downside is that hotels of this value and quality don’t exist in the UK!
All very clean and tidy. Very nice service at the check-in and check-out. All worked very smoothly. Super tasty breakfast buffet. Nice bar.
Clean, modern hotel with friendly staff in as relatively central location. Room was slightly on the small side and at some points, it felt like not the best area of Rotterdam.
Simple but good! Super friendly tall lady and tall blond man. during breakfast service, bar team also very attentive and delicious drinks.🍸
Very friendly young team. Small rooms, but this reflects the price
The location is very good close to everything, chech in and check out are fast. Fantastic roof terrace with a beautiful view. Our room isn’t spacious but it has a comfortable bed and pillows.
Top location. Easy access to public transport. Friendly staff. Relaxing rooftop area for drinks or breakfast.
This was a truly pleasant surprise and offered excellent value for money. Despite its central, city-center location, the room was remarkably calm and quiet. The area is incredibly convenient, with a wide range of public transportation options, restaurants, cafes, and shops just a short walk away. The staff were consistently friendly and helpful. While the room was on the smaller side, it was incredibly well-designed and practical, making the most of the space. The breakfast buffet was of very good quality for the price, and the rooftop bar provided a wonderful place to unwind at the end of the day.
Verry good room et services!!!!!
First, the reception was immediately open, friendly and engaging! That - for a first time in any 'people orientated business' is the biggest key of all. Fab and felt welcomed right away. They also gave info and smiles easily. It is a little far from the station but something to help guide for 'newbies' may help. Room again was fine but the wide open window meant adapting, not out of shyness, but to avoid embarrassing anyone glancing in during my work out. Higher chair would help for work. BUT - where are the USB ports?!?!?? Is this a modern hotel or what? Breakfast was fine but range fruit was not good enough for your style [eco, local, bio] and all the fruit was the 'hard' type - apples etc. Yes the Netherlands imports fruit so where are bananas, mangoes, pears, plums (IN season right now)? I'll be back and check for updates :0) .
Super location, decor lovely, staff very pleasant and accommodating, breakfast delicious. AND bed comfortable. My go to next time I’m in Rotterdam
We had a wonderful stay! Everything was clean, modern, and well-maintained. The staff were extremely kind and helpful throughout our visit. The room was a bit small, but since we stayed just for the weekend, it wasn’t a problem at all. Would definitely come back!
Great central location, friendly staff, wonderful rooftop for night drinks. Very tasty breakfast. I would prefer a window in the room.
Great hotel in wonderful area. Good restaurants nearby. Very nice staff.
This new hotel has good potential for being excellent but I think when it comes to hospitality there are a few more things to work on. At my stay 16-18 July we were treated in a way that gave us mixed impressions. At check in there was the usual nice greeting but it changed when the price I had gotten in my booking confirmation did not agree with the price in the hotel computer. Probably the BeOne summer rate that had not gone through. The reaction from staff was that I was given the impression that I was the wrong-doer. I was asked for a pdf-confirmation, the usual email confirmation was not enough I was told. Then I said that the confirmations for MoteOne rarely have pdf-files attached (I have stayed numerous times at MotelOne). I had to show them my other bookings the following day in Vienna. After some research I was given the rate I had in my confirmation. The staff did not give any apologies for this and their way of blaming me first. This whole episode gave a bad start to our stay. That same evening we decided to visit the bar on the top floor. It was perhaps 20% full and we took the nice seats in the middle of the room with the sofa. Quickly the staff came and said: ”hi guys, could you sit at some other table, we need these in case a bigger group comes”. And then he walked away. It might seem like a reasonable logic to reserve the sofa for a larger group than two people, but to say that as a greeting to new guests is not very nice. We were not sure we were welcome at all. Given that there was free seating (we saw no signs of anything else and there was no one at the entrance to seat us) the staff could have said: ”hi guys, welcome to the bar. Please have a seat here, would you mind if i have to move you to another table should there come a larger group?” Also this experience gave us bad taste for the hotel staff. We have at all other MotelOnes never seen this style before. The only friendly experience I had was with the woman in the bar in the afternoon on the 17 July when I picked up my free water bottle. Otherwise I liked this little hotel in the middle of town. I was just left with a not so welcoming feeling.
Everything’s perfect! The rooms are small, of course, but they're spotlessly clean and the beds are the most comfortable I’ve slept in for a while. The staff are very friendly, and I especially want to highlight the bar staff – they're super kind and attentive!
Clean, modern and well situated
A conditioner and body lotion would make the experience for the price 10/10. The staff is helpful and nice
Very friendly staff in the hotel. Typical motel one. Good quality in any city
Comfortable, clean and modern. Excellent location and helpful staff.
A kettle in the room would be very much appreciated. Friendly staff during breakfast
Alles super
- I was missing a kettle for a tea that could be appreciated in the room in the evening. Other even cheaper hotels have it. - Unnecessary start of television when the electricity activating card is pushed in. That's a waist of energy, especially for those who don't care about it and who don't switch of the TV. - I thought Holland is also a cheese country, but within this week the was no changing variety of cheeses. + Breakfast on rooftop was a perfect location, especially when sitting outside. + Delicious teas and with fairtrade brand! + Good we get 2 entry cards for the room.
Great position, beautiful room and restroom. Comfortable bed and bed linen. Friendly and welcoming staff. It would be easy for you to be perfect. Three things were not ok: 1. The restroom door was not closing correctly, not ok for a hotel of this level. 2. The dirty reused paper card to grab the free nice bottle of water in the bar, on one hand, a nice gesture, but with this card, you lost quality perception. 3. Cleaning cloths lying on the floor in the corridor in front of our room, all the time during our stay.
In general the hotel is situated in a great area, the room is comfortable, clean and offers everything you could need from a small budget city hotel. The reception / check-in experience is not great - it's tucked into the corner without enough check-in staff so I had to wait for ages to check in. One member of staff was seemingly dealing with an online reservations issue, the other with a customer who was taking ages. Further, we had a blackout of electricity in the evening which didn't allow us to use the lift or any electrics within the room. The staff were not proactive in informing us of what the issue was or even that the power was out in the room or that the bar on the roof was closed, I only found this out when I had climbed the 4 storeys. For all I knew it was just the lifts and lobby that had power issues.
Great location, very comfortable room. It was a perfect place to stay for a short visit, close to nice attractions but not too crowded. The staff was very helpful and welcoming.
bar staff wasnt friendly. power cut in the hotel - no apologises. we ordered a drink and they served and then said we need to leave in 10min clean rooms
MotelOne in Rotterdam is allways good. However, this stay was not the best of my stays: The bed in room 412 was rather small for two adults. Friday night (July 11) the power went out in the neighborhood and the rooms and elevator were without power. I know that MotelOne was not responsible for the power outage, but it would have been good service with SMS information and status for the guests.
Only one elevator was working. No coffee in room
Wonderful hotel. All the staff, from the front desk to the bar/breakfast room were very helpful and welcoming. The room was very clean and a good size. A very relaxing stay.
Excellent 👍
8p. You should have better routines for refilling soap. The best otherwise. Well the prize can be lower...
Great location for everything the city has to offer. Public transport, food & shopping
perfect service. nice people.
Good value for money. Good location
I really liked it, welcoming, the service was nice, the design is not exaggerated but beautiful. The Motel is the middle of very busy area but with widows closed you hear no sound from outside. Just one thing was the mosquitoes in the Room sometimes
Nice Team, Had A great welcome
we have reserved two rooms for the same price ; one was ok but the other was very small and not at the same level of the first one. We asked to change the room but they don't do it. We ask for a discount but they don't do it. Finally I changed the room with my colleague We have done the reservation many months ago so they had enough time I apologise but this is the motivation. Best
Bed was large and comfortable. Room was far too small for a comfortable 3 night stay. No tea / coffee making facilities. Roof top lounge and outside terraces were very nice and comfortable. Staff were attentive and friendly. Food and snacks were very limited.
Best hotel I’ve stayed at so far in the Netherlands. Spotlessly clean, extremely comfortable, and in a very convenient location. The staff is friendly and welcoming. The only downside was the absence of a fridge in the room, which was a bit surprising.
Clean, modern hotel in a great location. Very friendly and professional staff —especially Tess at the reception, who is always welcoming and super friendly when I arrive. Rooftop Bar is also very nice and worth a visit. I stay there on a regular basis and can definitely recommend the location!
Great hotel with very modern and clean rooms and a wonderful rooftop bar (also for breakfast).
Very central location, very friendly staff and nice rooftop bar. Rooms basic but clean. Would stay again. Thank you
It’s a very nice hotel with a good atmosphere. Rooms are specious enough to walk around the bed or take a comfortable shower. There is shampoo/ shower gel available if you forgot your own. We had a multi night stay and the housekeeping is very tidy. With great weather I can recommend to go for a G&T one night stay the rooftop.
Great hotel, location, stuff, breakfast, rooms. Everything is excellent. Would stay again.
Super friendly staff, both in reception and at the restaurant. Amazing breakfast, with lots of gluten free options, including gluten free bread. Beautiful terrace. The location is great. I think it’s a fair price.
It did the job, clean. For the price space was a challenge and the mattress quality was poor. Both my wife and I did not sleep well!
No gluten free cereal or pastry option at breakfast
świetna lokalizacja, atrakcyjna cena, czysto i wygodnia
Pierwsza noc byla tragiczna, bo mielismy awarie klimatyzacji, rano zamieniono nam pokój i bylo juz bardzo dobrze. Obsluga recepcji bardzo pomocna.

Hotel Rotterdam
Manhattan 2.0
Manhattan ma konkurencję. W samym centrum Rotterdamu powstał duplikat najmodniejszej nowojorskiej dzielnicy.
Dobrze wzmocnieni wyruszamy do Oude Haven. W starym porcie w Rotterdamie poczujesz się jak kapitan Jack Sparrow. Rustykalne puby rozbudzają apetyt na whiskey i rum. Stare łodzie zachęcają do krótkiego rejsu. A piękne domy z muru pruskiego szepczą anegdoty z dawnych czasów.
