I felt safe, comfortable and at ease here, gorgeous room, and everything was perfect, especially the bar!
Nice hotel, friendly staff and good breakfast
Fantastic visit,,, friendly staff and comfortable room and public areas,,, only slight change if possible would be tightness for queuing for breakfast and the flow of the food layout
Great location ,friendly staff but understaffed at breakfast times.
Overall it was fine, but just fine not good or great. The staff were friendly and welcoming, but our stay was massively let down by our room. It was absolutely tiny with no floor space to open a suitcase. I had to put it on the coffee table. I don't know why you gave us a luggage rack when there was nowhere to set it out. The biggest issue was that the air conditioning system was completely defunct - the room was sweltering and 3 times in the night we were up checking it was on only to realise it was blowing out hot air when it was meant to be 18 degrees.
As always every thing was excellent , very courteous staff room very clean and tidy everything i needed . Will definitely be back
Location very convenient. Room had the necessary facilities but was rather small
I could not drop my luggage at the Motel as theee was not anywhere to stop for 5 min The room are too small We had difficulty passing each other in the room The plastic cofffee cups will be more suitable in a back packers
Lovely hotel & staff. Close to all amenities.
Although just a one night stay, everything is what we were looking for in this trip. Check-in was quick as done on-line, room was basic as described and was very clean, bathroom and shower also very clean. Didn’t have a drink in bar at hotel as we were rushed for time, but we did have a look and it felt like a nice relaxed area. Had a good night sleep on a very comfy bed and with the black out curtains we were glad we set an alarm. Room also very quiet, no banging doors or talking coming from hallway area. We didn’t have breakfast at hotel, but the reception area smelled lovely with the aroma of coffee and pastries. Checkout was just as fast as check-in, with a very pleasant and friendly receptionist. Overall a nice nights stay and a great nights sleep.
Regular visitors here. Always a warm welcome. Lovely lounge and bar area. Bedrooms pin clean and public areas pristine. Great stay as usual. Superb location.
From check in to check out we couldn't have been happier with the service and helpfulness from staff. Room was spotless. Our second visit and this time the air con functioned perfectly. Great central location for the function we attended.
Wonderful location! (quite loud if the window is open as it’s so close to downtown pubs and restaurants) Very strong smell to the hand soap, shampoo, body wash would not be for everyone. No facecloths. Lounge was very nice, but the tables, floors and menus were sooo sticky. Continental breakfast was expensive for what was offered so we walked across the street to Wetherfords, which was good and half the price.
Staff didn’t seem bothered, was giving a room at the train station roof line so herd every train and every horn blown, beds and pillows very uncomfortable, shower made a high pitch screaming noice when running and pressure of shower was terrible, watched some tv but kept pixelating so just turned it off. Price if the hotel wasn’t worth the money, price of drinks at the bar isn’t worth the money, most of it isn’t even named brands. When checking out never got asked how my stay was and got told to just Chuck my key card in the box. Stayed here twice before and it was good but this time wasn’t very good so won’t be returning in the future.
Quiet room enjoyable stay Perfect central location Porcelain cups in the room would be better than plastic but I appreciate plastic does not brake so easily! Lacking biscuits with the hot drinks in the room.
Quality hotel in a very central location. Close parking and close to shops, bars and nightlife. Our favourite Glasgow hotel.
Great Room, Breakfast was not great
very good service and very modern. enjoyable stay
Overall, my stay was fine. After the first night, I requested that the bathroom floor be cleaned properly, as there was dirt around the edges that came off on the towels. A text was apparently sent to housekeeping, but when I returned, the floor was the same (dirt still came off on the towels).
The reason I have deducted a point is that the booking in did not go smoothly. When myself and a colleague arrived, the manager knew that there was an issue with authorisation of our booking and there was a code that was needed, they knew this was missing and waited until we arrived to ask us to contact the relevant person, in my opinion and I am not sure if this would be possible, but they could see this was missing and been proactive in sending an email stating they were waiting on the authorisation code on an email, this would have then scored the full 10
One of the best nights sleep in a long time at a hotel - partly because of the location of the room which was brilliant! Asked the receptionist if I could have a quiet room and she delivered!!
Motel One Glasgow was a fabulous location for us - right in the city centre and a very short walk to and from the train station. We travelled around Scotland for a number of weeks and returned to Motel One Glasgow on our way back home to Australia. The Reception Staff were friendly and extremely helpful, and the rooms ‘worked’ well - although an exhaust fan in the bathroom would be helpful for showering. The Bar Staff were friendly and very accommodating. This is the first Motel One we have experienced and we will definitely ‘look out for this ‘brand’ in future. Thanks to all Staff with whom we had interaction and assistance at Motel One in Glasgow.
Staff great, good communication. Room very clean but far too small for someone like me, that has mobility issues but doesn't use a wheelchair. Even after I told them. There was a foot between wall and end of the bed. Shower entrance difficult to navigate with a stick. Ok, location. Felt unsafe after dark. Check out Sloans.
Nice hotel, well located to get around Glasgow. Only issue was the room was very warm as was told the air con switches to hot automatically at night, and the window looked out onto a 24h-busy street so it was very warm when sleeping.
Excellent stay check in was quick and smooth the room was lovely and very comfortable had a lovely nights sleep would stay there again
My stay at the hotel was marred by the hassle of getting access after 11pm on a Sunday night. I know the hotel well and have stayed there multiple times both on my own and with other members of my family . I have recommended the hotel to many people but regrettably i have paid my last visit to Motel One. I was travelling late at night and was on my own. Despite having contacted the property in advance to advise i would be arriving late and to get specific advice on how to access the hotel I had the make 3 different attempts to get access to the hotel. I followed the instructions and rang the bell and stood at the door but there was no response. I began to doubt that I was at the correct door when I spotted a separate door bell which was well illuminated unlike the bell at the main door . There was even a bell which was marked reception so it felt relieved that I had found the correct place to access the building . To my delight someone then spoke and I was reassured however it was fleeting as I was told the door was for deliveries not guests and was directed back to where I had tried previously. Back I went pressed the buzzer and still no response. I then walked to the other side of the hotel building to see if there was a third door but as there wasn’t I returned to the main door. This time there was a couple of other guests trying to access the building . I felt reassured as I was seriously beginning to doubt myself and was feeling increasingly anxious and nervous until I saw these people . I also felt safe for the first time . All of this lasted 3-4 minutes but it felt like more. When I went to reception I was shocked at the attitude of the male receptionist . I explained to him what had happened and he informed me was aware that I had been trying to access the building and I quote “had walked away “. When I asked if he had seen me did he not think he could have opened the door or at least let me know and he replied he could not leave the reception desk and he literally laughed in my face at the incredulous idea that I would somehow be able to hear him. I told him I was at the door 3 times and just for the record would like to know on which of those occasions he had actually seen me but he didn’t answer . I told him I felt uneasy about the way he was speaking to me and that he was in the business of hospitality and his primary job was to receive guests he again challenged my position. At no time , desipte actually pointing out to him that it was his job did he show any empathy towards my circumstances and shockingly which is what was most upsetting did he even apologise to me . I feel let down and really disappointed by what happened in the 10mins it took from I first arrived at the hotel until I got to my room. I was really upset and anxious and this young man did not say or do one single them to try to address the situation. In fact I told him he laughed in my face when he said he saw me walk away from the door. Humiliation distressing and disturbing are the words I have used to describe to my social circle to describe the situation. I am not the sort of person who takes to online platforms to share what happened but maybe it’s time to change that opinion . I spoke to a member of staff on my departure to express my disappointment and they appeared to understand and apologised for the situation. I asked that they pass my experience to management in the hope I might have received a call but nothing alas . Anyhow that’s all I have to say about my experience which left me feeling the art of hospitality does not exist in motel one and I will no longer use the hotel for future visits to Glasgow. I’m sad because I have very many happy memories of being there on previous visits but all that was wiped by the male receptionist who somehow thinks this female guest was just too old and stupid and chose to adopt an indifferent attitude to my distress showing zero emotional intelligence, empathy or compassion. What a fine brand ambassador he truly is for your hospitality business that has put better systems in place for deliveries than guests arriving late at night unaccompanied.
Great hotel, really modern. Really friendly staff and perfect with a 12pm check out!! Rooms were perfect, little noise from the train station. Hotel / room was very warm!!
Great location nicely decorated good room
Reception and bar staff were so friendly and professional, all knew their role inside out. Room was basic but spotless. Shower and bed very good. X
I loved it! The staff was so helpful and friendly, my room was so clean and nice, the location was perfect, and I loved checkout at 12 PM and holding suitcases until departure. So accommodating! Wish you were all over the world!
Good standards Helpful staff
Booked a superior room, which made a big difference. Great location and pleasant staff.
The hotel was very busy so there was a wait for breakfast and the area where it was is very small. Also the reception didn’t even tell me where to go to actually get to my room, she didn’t even verbally tell me the room number, just gave me the card with the number on and that was it
This is my third stay at the hotel. Reception staff were friendly and welcoming. I found the room on the 9th floor not as clean as the other two occasions. On of the turquoise cushions on the bed had stains on it, there were cuo ring marks on the coffee table and dust on the bedside table. Breakfast fine but only pears as choice of fresh fruit and no boiled eggs on offer. Artisan bread was excellent and warm.
Always good to- staff are fab I’ve been staying here every week for almost a year
Everything was fine
Have stayed before and always like Motel one, it's a great hotel. First time I've had breakfast, it wasn't overly exciting!
Stayed for 7 nights, we arrived after 9pm and was welcomed by a friendly receptionist . The location of the hotel was ideal as it is next to the railway station so not far to walk to. The room was excellent with a good view out. The breakfast was well appointed with plenty of choice. We would choose this hotel next time we come to Glasgow.
Really enjoyed staying here, great location, very comfortable room and bed, fantastic breakfast and very friendly and helpful staff.
Everything was perfect! I was a bit nervous as the price was so amazing, but no I was proved wrong. The room was flawless even more than big brands such as premier inn, and the room was perfect. Checking in and checking out was so easy, and offering to hold our bags was amazing. Genuinely no flaws at all, not even one. I am so impressed absolutely everything was perfect, service 10/10, room 10/10, cleanliness 10/10. I will 100% be booking again next time if it is up to the same standard. Thank you! X
Friendly staff, great breakfast, and nice decor in the lobby. The room was quite small, but ok for the price. Our room was quite stuffy and warm. The windows only opened a small bit and the street was quite loud.
Our stay was good, clean rooms, nice staff, efficient check in; the only improvement I suggest is to have more breakfast table capacity as we were waiting for a table to become available for a little while when we cam down at 08:30
I usually stay in the Voco Grand Central when visiting Glasgow but it was full a couple of trips ago and I stayed in Motel One. Suffice to say that this trip is now my third! The staff are all extremely professional and helpful, the rooms clean and stylish. More importantly, the price is excellent, this is a city centre, beautifully designed hotel which has all the features of a higher end hotel without the price tag. Sorry Voco but I’ll be heading to Motel One every time I visit Glasgow from now on.
Excellent service and spotless room as always. Breakfast on ground floor was very good with great selection of food. Only thing I'd suggest is decaf tea and coffee in the room.
Hotel very central. Near Central Station. Cafe round corner for a good breakfast. The check in was quick & easy. The room was satisfactory. Very clean. Bed was so comfy. We was on floor 27. No disturbance or noise during our weekend stay. Staff were friendly. Everything that was mentioned on the website was in the room i.e. tea & coffee, hairdryer, shower gel etc...
Fabulous location
Fab hotel smd very central for everything in Glasgow, train, buses, shops etc. Very friendly staff and s lovely reception area. Bed was super comfy and room modern and clean. Bathroom was a delight, only downside for us is that bath towels could have been larger- perhaps bathsheets!. The addition of an iron in the room would also have been beneficial. Overall am excellent stay at a fabulous price.
Been a few times always clean and staff responsive.
Czysto uprzejmy personel

Następny przystanek: Glasgow!
6 ważnych powodów, dla których warto odwiedzić „Glaschu”
Wiecznie zielone
Piękne i niedrogie
Atrakcje
Gin71.
Położenie i okolica
Romantyzm kolei połączony z designem
Nasz niedrogi designerski hotel położony bezpośrednio przy Glasgow Central Station w całości nawiązuje do romantyzmu kolei żelaznej. W hotelu Motel One Glasgow połączyliśmy przemysłowy charakter techniki kolejowej i torowej z niezwykłymi emocjami towarzyszącymi podróży pociągiem.
Regały i stoły z wysokiej jakości mosiężnymi elementami wprowadzają w przemysłową przeszłość Glasgow, a dopełnienie koncepcji wystroju stanowią lampy ścienne Aldo Bernardiego.
Mungo. Odjazd!
