Have stayed here before Plus points are comfy bed, cleanliness, convenient location and decor But - breakfast experience was not good- too pricey and too busy , not enough staff or food Also - No servicing of bedroom unless requested seems unfair for the price we paid
Clean and comfortable room with all amenities. Easy check-in
Brilliant stay. Very comfortable and inviting. Perfect for my meetings
Room was lovely and clean. Staff were friendly. My only complaint would be the shower pressure wasnt great.
A lovely stay. The only disappointing aspect was no housekeeping. It was explained at reception that we could request housekeeping which we did early in the morning and it did not happen, The temperature of the room was very hard to control and it was very hot in the room
The staff were very friendly and the lobby/reception & rooms were finished to a high standard, very modern and clean. Breakfast had a fairly limited selection but was tasty. Room was a little on the small side but well equipped with a big TV, safe, and comfortable bed. Overall excellent value for money.
good, central location for town centre, swift and friendly check in, rooms could do with a make-over - more space for storage in bedroom and bathroom, remove carpets! air conditioning very welcome! Breakfast option rather expensive for continental only, dining room rather small and not very clean...
Excellent value for money Very helpful and friendly staff Very clean and comfortable rooms
The room was fine, just a bit small. It was hard to move around.
The staff was very helpful and accommodating. We came from Cleveland Ohio to see the Punk All Dayer at Bellahouston Park and had a great time in Glasgow!
Loved the hotel, the staff were really friendly and helpful, the lobby area was comfortable and cool, the bar staff were great and prices reasonable (I had a great mojito!) the room was lovely bright and clean, the bed and pillows very comfortable so we slept well. The door of the bathroom was a bit tricky to close but the bathroom was pristine. One morning I opted for the breakfast which in hindsight don't think was really worth doing. I booked really last minute and would definitely stay again. I would like to see what offers were available for regular customers as £120 a night is on the pricier side for me, especially as the price does not include the breakfast (as I said it was a last minute booking as our previous accommodation fell through) but all round, staying at this hotel made our stay in Glasgow very restful and enjoyable.
Great stay at Motel One, by go-to when in Glasgow for both work and leisure
Couldn’t connect to TV, toothpaste stains under sink, shoe print marks in shower, red and black stains on bed sheets, ask for EXTRA LARGE double bed and got two singles put together, could feel the mattress split in the middle was uncomfortable, kettle couldn’t reach plug, there was only one white sugar
Rooms were clean and had everything we needed
Love this hotel with great central location. Staff are super friendly and helpful.
Fantastic hotel. Stayed on one of the hottest days of the year, ac worked perfectly, lovely quiet room, great sleep. Stayed 2 nights, room was not serviced. But not a huge problem, just a little disappointing.
The best of motel is location and the room - clean, nice despite very compact but all right for one person. But concerned about security, youths coming in every day sitting around in lobby, police was in one day, easy access to rooms. Would recommend putting security in and making the lifts only accesible to guests but using key cards.
Polite, helpful staff. Great location.
Fine but location really awful but then I suppose it's like that around many train stations. Air con seemed ineffective.
Modern environment. Basic facilities. Excellent quality rooms. Lifts never keep you waiting. Quiet rooms facing the river. Very helpful front desk team. Comfortable beds and a good selection of pillows. Room safe for valuables. Excellent central location.
I have stayed at Motel One Glasgow on several occasions. On this occasion I was up graded to more spacious apartment as reward for booking through their own website which was much apricated. As i have come to expect the room was well presented and clean with usual drinks available. You are given a water bottle voucher to be collect from the bar though have never needed to take this up as normally carrying my own supply with me. Though might consider supplying water bottle already in the room for those of us that arrive late and just want to get to the room to unwind without wanting to go chasing for water to make the drinks. Bed really comfortable with various pillars provided from hard to soft to accommodate different preferences. Good night sleep had with no disturbance very quite. Soap and towels provided. There is a bar & Lounge but was too tired with getting to Motel One late. Breakfast starts from 6am during the week which is what I appreciate for an early working start. Good selection of choice for continental breakfast which self serve and can eat as much as you want (Note this a separate charge from the room which you make when you book, but worth it). I certainly enjoyed my stay and will be back again shortly.
1. Pros - Practical location in the very city centre, featuring the necessary soundproofing (when windows are closed) - Helpful staff - Clean enough room overall 2. Cons - Very dirty and unsafe-feeling location - TV didn’t work for a good part of the stay despite the desk staff and IT intervention (no commercial gesture offered) - Could have been cleaner - Room’s ambient air was too dry and too warm - No alternative options to dairy milk on the tea tray, no treat In summary, although the stay felt good enough, the impersonal atmosphere and the lack of thoroughness in the service give the impression of an overpriced hotel.
Very nice, kind stuff, will stay there next time in Glasgow
Central location, great and very helpful staff.
As normal, very good and friendly satff
Very comfy and friendly helpful staff
Excellent stay at Motel One. Easy check in and out. Cleanliness very good. Comfy bed. Modern bathroom.
Lovely room and immaculate shower room. By far the best hotel in price bracket.
Excellent place to stay, friendly staff and nice atmosphere
As always - efficient, clean, comfortable Efficient check-in - having checked in on-line, just pick up the key, even then a good welcome from reception. All areas spotlessly clean - stairs, corridors, room. Bed - very comfortable. Love the leather bucket seat - also very comfortable in the room.
Much better signage is needed to and from the lift/stairs. Not on the walls where you can't see it. Signs from the ceiling would be much clearer.
Disappointed to have no fridge in the room, no bottle of water, the air con didn't seem to be working (only tested briefly). The floor tile at the entrance to the hotel was broken which wasn't a great first impression, and there was a leak from the ceiling with water dripping into a bucket in the lobby (fixed quickly I think). No herbal teas in bedroom. Positives - the bar and lobby look very nice (aside from element mentioned above), good views from room, friendly staff.
I love Motel One Glasgow and have used the location many times, my default hotel when I come to Glasgow to visit my daughter. But this visit I did notice a few things that could benefit from a little attention to detail. The bathroom mirror needed the screws tightening, and the sink was very slow draining. The breakfast buffet which is usually excellent needed refilling at times, and I needed to ask twice for certain items to be refilled. I don't think there was any orange juice on offer for our breakfast. Again, I love the hotel and would definitely use it again on my next visit but I just wanted to let you know of some issues that might need a little more attention.
Very basic hotel. Boring but tasty breakfast
Our stay was a bit disappointing - not what Booking.com led us to believe. 1. The room was VERY small - definitely intended only for one person, not a couple staying for 5 nights. There was only one chair in the room and minimal hanging space. The bed was SO big that it was at times difficult to open and close the safe - why the need for a king size bed in a room apparently designed for one person? And we had to walk sideways to navigate the bed. 2. It was also VERY noisy as it overlooked a pub (I wish this had brought this to our attention when selecting an inward/outward facing room) and if we closed the window the room became stuffy and uncomfortable. 3. When we enquired how to adjust the aircon we were told it was centrally controlled. (why was there an aircon unit inn the room then??). Then it was switched to cold, and became so uncomfortable by husband had to wear a fleece in the room! 4. The plug in the bathroom basin did not seal, thus water was wasted when washing or shaving. When we queried this with Reception, we were told it was meant to be like that (???)- yet you encourage guests to skip having the room serviced to save water? 5. And a very personal perspective...I found the gloomy picture over the bed quite unsettling. Maybe this is a 'baby boomer' thing, but for me not appropriate for a bedroom when Scotland has such beautiful buildings and scenery. On the positive side, the lady who serviced our room was lovely, very efficient and pleasant. The room was spotlessly clean. The staff at reception did their best to assist us.
Too expensive, poor room and awful continental breakfast, £261 with no cooked breakfast.... Much better options in Glasgow
We love a stay at motel one! Great view from room this time also! Never had any complaints.
The breakfast area was often crowded, and it was difficult to maneuver in the food area. On several days items like coffee and orange juice were gone. On the day I left I had to leave for the bus at 5:55 and they would not give me even a bun to take with me. The night before I left the slot I had been using for 6 days to activate the lights in the room inexplicably stopped functioning so I had no lights when I woke up at 5:30 am. Because I could not see in the bathroom I left behind one personal item. I informed the reception staff that the thing was broken when I checked out but they did not apologize or show any concern. No wan explained that the room was not routinely made up each day (which is OK) but that should be done when the guest checks in rather than learn from a sign in the elevator, which took me 3 days to see. The TV selections were not very good. TV
Perfect location. Room was very small. No cooked breakfast. Iron I was given had marks on sole that damaged my white shirt. Also, iron and iron board were to be left in room and collected by housekeeping the following day. Made a small room even smaller. Overall, disappointing.
All of the staff at the hotel were very nice. The bed was comfortable. There were just a couple of things that rattled me. The plumbing makes a high pitch noise when water is being used in an adjacent room. I kept getting woken up during the night time. The first time it happened I thought it was the fire alarm and it caused me concern. I was not told at check-in that I had to ask for housekeeping to service my room each day.
This stay I would rate as 5 simply because I was in a room with no internet and dodgy cell reception. It was even worse because it seems to be a known issue and after 3 nights of complaints I finally got a room swap…
Very smart and beautiful rooms with breathtaking sanitation facilities within rooms and corridors. And very Friendly staff
Lovely hotel, very clean and nicely set out with friendly, professional staff. The bed was very comfortable and the air con kept the room a decent temperature. It was very hot in the buffet bar at breakfast, but I was there for the hottest two days in a long time, I can't imagine it's usually a problem
Staff, amenities and location particularly good at this hotel. Absolutely nothing to fault.
Comfortable, bare bones hotel. Beds, linens, location good. Rooms small, but adequate. Staff very helpful.
Great hotel, great location, check in bit chaotic sometimes, superior room (6th floor) perfect, have rebooked !!
Moved us to a room with a view without a problem. Very helpful and friendly staff at desk. Amazing breakfast options. Comfortable bed. Would have liked to turn the heat down a bit - window only opens a small amount so it was abit warm at night.
Early check in - great Air con in room- terrible. Old system and set to hot at all times and unable to adjust. ROOM 1004.
Asked for a new hairdryer-never arrived The one in the room did not work
Dobre położenie blisko do centrum , super bar dlugo czynny ,przestronne logby za taką cenę naprawdę godny polecenia.

Następny przystanek: Glasgow!
6 ważnych powodów, dla których warto odwiedzić „Glaschu”
Wiecznie zielone
Piękne i niedrogie
Atrakcje
Gin71.
Położenie i okolica
Romantyzm kolei połączony z designem
Nasz niedrogi designerski hotel położony bezpośrednio przy Glasgow Central Station w całości nawiązuje do romantyzmu kolei żelaznej. W hotelu Motel One Glasgow połączyliśmy przemysłowy charakter techniki kolejowej i torowej z niezwykłymi emocjami towarzyszącymi podróży pociągiem.
Regały i stoły z wysokiej jakości mosiężnymi elementami wprowadzają w przemysłową przeszłość Glasgow, a dopełnienie koncepcji wystroju stanowią lampy ścienne Aldo Bernardiego.
Mungo. Odjazd!
