Very friendly and helpful staff. Central location and very comfortable room. Highly recommended and good value.
Staff was helpful and friendly Room was always cleaned Thanks Staff
Nice property and nice location. Staff not proactive and appear inepereinced
Second time I've stayed and it is my go to Hotel when I'm in Glasgow for work, rooms are nice and clean, friendly staff, bar serves great cocktails, great location right next to Glasgow Central, I would highly recommend this hotel for both work or pleasure.
Lovely stay.
The stay was a wonderful experience. Although I was traveling alone and for business purposes, I thoroughly enjoyed the hotel’s hospitality. The staff, especially at the reception and during breakfast, were friendly and eager to help with anything I needed. The room was well-kept and spotlessly clean, and the breakfast was plentiful with delicious options. I would definitely recommend it. The location was very convenient both for getting to and from the airport and for taking a walk in the city center.
We had a great room on the top floor, very clean and with everything you needed. We had a small dog who was made very welcome but nothing specifically in the room for the dog. all staff very friendly.
Overall great but the bar was a little pricey for locally produced beer and the range of alternatives was not great.
All Motel One's I've been in are excellent. They have the right amount of amenities, they are clean and look nice. The walls are thick, so the rooms quiet. It's always a pleasure staying at a Motel One.
Nice hotel which is very convenient as its next to railway station in centre of Glasgow.
Hi When we arrived at the property we were informed there was no booking. A member of staff checked it and the booking was for 5th July. When we made the booking it kept jumping on our dates. I'm not happy at all the website and booking process. Because of this I was charged twice. I'm a very dissatisfied with the website/ booking process.
Love staying in this Hotel Hotel is immaculate and rooms are very clean Staff are really nice too
The amenities within hotel are readily located and patrons can quickly enjoy the experience. The location of the hotel is perhaps the greatest asset.
Very nice hotel, friendly staff with a relaxed atmosphere right in the heart of the city. Will definitely be back.
since its opening, we have been regular guests at motel one in glasgow. in those six, we have stayed here at least six times, very happy each time to come back to our home in glasgow. we always book the superior category, feeling that it is well worth the little extra money. the rooms to the north, looking up the hill past central station are our favorites. room 32 in the corner is the best. the breakfast buffet is generous, with most everything one would want. this time the quality of the mixed fruit salad was not up to par, everything else good as ever. the reception people are wonderful, helpful and kind. the in-house bar is perfect to chill without the usual bar noise, looking at the life beyond the window while wearing your home slippers. great way to relax and review the past day.
Everything from the reception staff to the room was great
As a regular user of Motel One, I'm keen to share my experience of the Glasgow branch. The staff were truly amazing and could not have been more welcoming. The main reason behind the drop in scores was the inability to regulate the temperature, particularly in the individual rooms. Yes there may have been a heatwave but our room was uncomfortably cold. Being advised to open the window to regulate the temperature didn't immediately rectify the situation. Interestingly, one further point was cleanliness of carpets / bedding as there was a faint smell of vomit once we'd managed to increase the room temperature.
Excellent experience as always staying at Motel One Glasgow. I have stayed here many of times and the staff are very friendly and extremely helpful. Super clean rooms and great amenities in the room. My only reason for 9 out of 10 score was the shower pressure was not great. I do like to have a nice powerful hotel shower that has good pressure and unfortunately it was ok. Not slow but just ok. Also not all the TV channels in my room worked. I have stayed here before in other rooms and didn't experience these issues at all so it may just be that I was on the eighth floor.
The hotel is excellent in every manner from the location to the friendly staff to the comfortable rooms. It's a bit like home from home which I have never experienced in a hotel before it makes it special.
Helpful staff. Late checkout was useful. Nice bar area. Close to nice eating and shopping. Very nice bar and sitting area. Night time restaurant would have helped.
I have only given a 7 as although the hotel and rooms were lovely, clean and modern the breakfast was overpriced for the selection on offer. I paid over £27 for 2 breakfasts and didn't feel the choices on offer gave value for money. Other than that I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would use you again, just not for breakfast.
Have only scored 8 as there were no towels in my room and it looked as though the bathroom cleaning was not completed ie loo brush in the loo. It was clean though.
Staff were really accommodating and polite, the hotel was clean and well presented. A variety of international plug sockets and USB ports so no need to panic about having the wrong connection.
Room and breakfast were great, staff super friendly. The airco in the room started blasting during the night, noisy and cold. Nothing I could do on the control panel worked. But I wasn’t in the room much so I put up with it until I needed to sit and do work. I spoke to the receptionist who moved me to another room, much appreciated. The public areas of the hotel could be messy in the morning from people coming home late and throwing food around. Not the hotels fault.
Excellent check out time at 12 o clock and a great room
I’m torn. I’ve stayed at the Glasgow hotel maybe 10 times, along with 4 or 5 of my colleagues, and I’ve always found it to be clean, comfortable and friendly. I’ve never had a bad nights sleep. And before I get into this, I fully understand that you’re a business, you need to make money and you don’t do things for free, I totally understand. I work for a successful band and as part of that, things can change at the drop of a hat. Appearances can be cancelled or added at a moments notice. I was booked to stay at the Motel One Glasgow on Tuesday 8th and Wednesday 9th July. I didn’t make the booking, or that of my 4 colleagues who were also staying. I couldn’t make the Tuesday, something came up as it often does in my world, so after our concert on Wednesday I arrived at the hotel and was told I no longer had a room. I don’t pretend to understand the workings of hotels, even though I’ve stayed in them all my working life, all over the world, so OK, you let my room go as I was a no show the night before, and as I pointed out, I understand you exist to make money, but when this has happened to me in the past, and it has frequently happened, if it’s been at a hotel I’ve stayed at many times previously, and/or a hotel that several of my colleagues are staying at AT THAT TIME, I’ve been given a room and everything’s been sorted out regarding payment the following morning. What shocked me was that your hotel would have happily let a 60 year old man who has stayed at your hotel many, many times, and who has colleagues already staying at the hotel, and who is known to your staff on reception, walk the streets of Glasgow on a Wednesday night, knowing that there was a room available. If I didn’t enough on me personally to cover the £109.00 I would have had to sleep rough and I can’t believe that your staff would have allowed that. I wouldn’t have said anything, and I don’t expect an apology because you have ‘protocols’ and ‘systems’ but I received an email asking for my thoughts and here they are., it wasn’t even a case of ‘the computer says “no”. The chap on reception asked the manager. I would have expected a degree of flexibility for known guests but maybe I expect too much of people, a sad state of affairs. Thanks for reading this if you got this far.
All the staff were so lovely and helpful specially Ewan at check-in. He gave us plenty of recommendations and was so kind. The selection of different gins were impressive and as a gin lover myself, i was in heaven haha. Location was amazing. Just one thing i would have liked to have been told was that one of the stops for the red line was across the way opposite spoons! Was so handy once we figured it out though!
Pluses - WIFI was good, place is clean and great location in Glasgow city centre. Things to work on: Pillows! The soft ones were way too soft and the hard ones were way too hard: I woke numerous times to adjust. Also in the bar, I was looking forward to a pint, yet they only have bottles - neither of these are huge issues and appreciate it may be personal preferences. TV channels were inconsistent signal and the guide/schedule does not work on them.
From a luke warm arrival and the East European prison style doors, things never improved. A disappointing old style shower which is inadequate of throwing water far enough out from the wall. My first night was one of total interruptions / disturbance of what sounded like the toilet water system kept filling every 15 mins. There was no phone in the room to call reception and when i did pop down to reception at about 4 am, the receptionist seemed put out that i had turned up. He was quick to correct me that I hadn't got the right room number and disinterested in the issue, advising he had never heard of this before. He advised he would pop up and see if he could hear a noise. Nothing happened. 2 hrs later when breakfast had started, there was no one on reception. I had a very disappointing breakfast, coffee from a machine that dispensed half a cup and tasted as if the milk was off. Cereal from jars with large spoons in which made it hard to get cereal out, without spilling it everywhere. Jam from pots with little pots to put it in, in another location. Nothing looked or tasted fresh. After finishing i went back to reception where the receptionist was the only saving grace of the stay. She was empathetic and advised there was a similar issue in the same area of the hotel previously but thought it was cleared. She arranged for a different room apologising for where it was but said it would still be quiet. Luckily the room was acceptable, but the breakfast hadn't improved the following morning. All in all, probably the worst hotel experience I have had.
Lovely hotel, fantastic location, super comfy bed and very welcoming staff 🙂
An excellent stay at a central location. Online checkin helped me avoid the long queue when I arrived. My room was on the smaller side but was clean and had innovative storage for making the most of the space. Great to have lots of power points and plug in options. Reception staff were very pleasant and helpful. I’d definitely stay again.
Lovely staff spotless room. Good location. Going back on next visit
Staff were lovely and the place was very clean We always stay at the chain Motel one wherever we go cause we think it's great value for money & the beds are amazing!
Fantastic experience. Check in straight forward, desk agent (Harvey) incrediby helpful and super friendly. Room upgrade allocated to a superb room with amazing views out over the city. Bar friendly and welcoming, with prices comensurate with surrounding pubs and not overly piced like most hotels. Room decor fresh and modern and a super comfy bed. Highly recomend staying here and we will definately be returning.
Paid £312 3rd to 6th july on arrival asked reception what time breakfast was to be told no breakfast in the price bloody disgrace will not stay again there is better hotels in glasgow but where fully booked what a shame.
Convenient and efficient professional staff, thank you
Great location, friendly staff, spotlessly clean well appointed room
My wife and myself had a great two night weekend stay. The hotel and room were very clean and comfortable. The bar was very relaxing and great service from the staff. The continental breakfast was fantastic. The location of the hotel was ideal, right next to Central Station. Will definitely use the hotel again ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I had a brilliant time. The staff were brilliant. The only letdown was the housekeeping coming into the room when we told them we were in the room and we didn’t check out till 2 pm as we pay extra for that but they didn’t listen eventually I had to tell him to get out. I was feeling nervous I suffer for my anxiety and I didn’t need this to be honest, but overall the hotel was brill
Brilliant hotel close to everything I needed cosy and comfy
We loved almost everything about this hotel. It's excellent value and well located, with clean, modern rooms that were admittedly small, but very well designed. Super comfortable bed and fairly quiet. The lounge is lovely and their continental breakfast was good quality. Our only negative experience there was with reception with regards to the parking situation. As international travelers, we were unfamiliar with the process for reimbursement which was copmlicated and not well explained to us, resulting in us not receiving the reimbursement for one day (VERY expensive!). This was partially our fault for not understanding their system, but it also definitely could have been explained more carefully. Mistakes happen, but I felt it was important for future international travelers to let reception know that the system is confusing. This feedback was poorly received by two different reception staff who were completely unapologetic, and even seemed to suggest that we were lying. An unpleasant way to end our week long stay with them.
Had a nice stay, room was nice, bed comfortable and shower was excellent. Location was fantastic. Couple of small issues I had was there was no draft lager or cider , I like a pint , only bottles available. No toilet in the bar area was also a bit strange , having to get in a lift or walk up the stairs.
Staff were very welcoming, the hotel itself was really nice, the only thing we would have added was more of a breakfast selection, of course every hotel is different, but my friend found there wasn’t many gluten free options available, or hot selection of food.
Excellent stay in centre of Glasgow. Staff very friendly and helpful with a couple of small extra requests we had during my stay. Will very likely book again next time staying in Glasgow.
It was freezing cold in the room for no good reason. I also wish that I could have had the option to add my own netflix.
Cleaner parked her trolley outside our room (even though we had the so not disturb sign out) and talked so loudly, and banged about, shouted up the corridor to her colleague that it woke us up. Being beside the lift was noisy too.
Firstly location was great a short walk from Glasgow Central .The hotel itself had a nice ambience. The rooms were spacious .But staying for 3 nights and Very limited storage was a massive downside. The housekeeping could have been much better bin not emptied from previous guests. And washand basin not as clean as would have liked .No Toilet Roll left on 3rd day and had to. Collect at reception on way in at 2300 hours .The placing of. Plug socket in room could have been much better hairdryer cable struggled to reach the mirror to do hair .Had breakfast on one morning .not bowled over at one point no Teabags and Milk in poorly functioning containers once it reached the outlet level it stopped working .would not have breakfast again poor value
Decent hotel in the middle of Glasgow. Friendly helpful staff. Clean and attractive decor (although I'm not sure about the featured shepherdess looming above my bed). Breakfast seemed a bit dear for continental, but in fact it was very good and better suited to me than the usual reconstituted eggs and bacon. I reported my dodgy room door which would only close with a massive slam (can't have been nice for the neighbours), but it didn't get fixed during my stay.
Enjoy the stay Always stay when in Glasgow
Dobre położenie blisko do centrum , super bar dlugo czynny ,przestronne logby za taką cenę naprawdę godny polecenia.

Następny przystanek: Glasgow!
6 ważnych powodów, dla których warto odwiedzić „Glaschu”
Wiecznie zielone
Piękne i niedrogie
Atrakcje
Gin71.
Położenie i okolica
Romantyzm kolei połączony z designem
Nasz niedrogi designerski hotel położony bezpośrednio przy Glasgow Central Station w całości nawiązuje do romantyzmu kolei żelaznej. W hotelu Motel One Glasgow połączyliśmy przemysłowy charakter techniki kolejowej i torowej z niezwykłymi emocjami towarzyszącymi podróży pociągiem.
Regały i stoły z wysokiej jakości mosiężnymi elementami wprowadzają w przemysłową przeszłość Glasgow, a dopełnienie koncepcji wystroju stanowią lampy ścienne Aldo Bernardiego.
Mungo. Odjazd!
