Great modern hotel walking distance to everywhere you want to see in Dublin. The rooms are on the small side, what you might expect in Manhattan, so be mindful if you have a lot of luggage, this may not be the place for you. Also, given the flow of traffic, getting dropped off and picked up requires crossing the street with your luggage, which can be tricky and a little dangerous. It would be nice if they could develop a landing spot for cars to pick up and drop off customers checking in or out.
Motel One from appearance is a beautiful hotel overall. Greeted by one of the wonderful staff there named Stacy with a lovely smile and plenty of information to my make my stay as comfortable as ever. The hotel situated in the middle of the city centre making it easy to access restaurants and cinemas. I enjoyed my stay there and will be back for sure!
This is my 2nd time staying in the Dublin Motel One and can’t fault anything, staff lovely, beds so comfortable and a great price for the heart of the city. Fiona
Perfect in every way
During our recent five-day stay, although the staff were consistently polite and courteous, several issues significantly affected our overall experience. The room was notably small, lacking a wardrobe—only offering limited and improvised storage solutions. Basic amenities such as a fridge, pen, and waste bin were absent. On July 11th, I encountered two spiders emerging from under the bed. I requested a room inspection while we were away on a family trip to the Cliffs. Upon our return, I was informed that the room had been checked and nothing was found. However, within half an hour, I killed another spider and brought it to the reception. I also inquired about the frequency of linen changes, as by the fourth day the sheets had not been changed. It appeared that unless we explicitly requested it, no change would have occurred. Unfortunately, the staff could not provide a clear answer and referred me to contact the hotel manager via email. I did so, mentioning both the spider issue and the linen concern, but I never received a response. When I asked to be moved to another room due to the presence of spiders, I was told that no alternative rooms were available. While I understand the limitations in availability, this does not reflect a satisfactory customer experience. It is worth noting that we paid for three rooms—for my son, my daughter, and one for my wife and me—yet we were only offered four complimentary drink cards at the bar. Overall, while the staff were kind, the lack of organization and responsiveness suggests a possible absence of experienced managerial oversight. Basic actions such as following up with guests, responding to emails, and showing genuine concern were unfortunately missing, which detracted from what could have been a pleasant stay.
Excellent location, clean rooms, soundproofing was very good - room was completely silent. Very reasonable rate for Dublin.
Great location as we were travelling by train, and Luas stop is adjacent to the hotel so no walking involved. It’s right next door to Arnotts and just a 2 minute walk to the Jervis and Ilac centres. I will stay there again, when doing a bit of shopping around Xmas time.
A beautiful hotel right in the centre with all amenities close by. Rooms are spotless and the hotel in general was really clean. The staff were great and always on hand for any problems. Breakfast was great however, only continental but still had lots of choice. On checking out we were able to leave our luggage until we left for our flight home. Great check out times too, so not rushing around after breakfast (12 noon) Would definitely recommend this hotel and I will definitely be returning in the future.
Great location! Comfortable bed. Shower good - a little more pressure would have been nice but not a big deal. Clean! All staff were great - front desk very helpful and friendly. Definitely recommend!!
Fantastic stay and very professional, helpful and attentive staff. The design is great, atmospheric and with comfort in mind. Breakfast buffet with fresh and constantly refilled food. My only suggestion would be to offer more hot dishes.
Motel One continues to be one of my favourite hotel's brands with the consistent quality of its facilities and excellent location within the cities - and Dublin is no exception. Great value for money.
Nice staff, lovely location, clean house, nice rooms, good breakfast only the elevator is boring .. very boring ...
Great location for me. Clean, Fresh rooms. Early check in.
We stayed in the hotel twice over the last 2 weeks and I would recommend it highly .its very central and so clean The breakfast was beautiful will definitely go back there again
This hotel is in a great location, right across the street from a luas stop. It has lovely decor, and a nice relaxing ambience. The staff are pleasant, and the rooms are clean and comfortable. I would recommend this hotel.
It was a really nice stay, clean room with coffee and tee facility, which Motel one in Hamburg or Dresden don't have.
Great staff from reception to the bar. Right in the heart of Dublin city centre 👍
great hotel excellent location
Nice clean room with a lovely breakfast. The rooms are small.
Motel One was perfectly located to access many Dublin sites as well as restaurants and bars. The 24 hour bar lounge was a nice feature to enjoy a night cap at the end of the evening. The room and bathroom were very clean. All the Motel One employees were friendly from the front desk staff, housekeeping to the bartender. Nice place to stay in Dublin!
Great place at a great price. Staff very friendly. Would love a full English breakfast though.
Superb in every respect
Really incredible location and overall stay. Our room was quiet and chill but we were able to walk to every place we wanted to go during our trip to Dublin which was amazing. Rooms are small but we didn’t spend any time in it outside of sleeping so it was fine. Would definitely stay there again!
Grate location, small room, no fridge.
Excellent hotel. I arrived at 11 in the morning and was greeted by a very friendly and efficient young man. Check-in doesn’t open until 3 in the afternoon however I was allocated my room on arrival. The room was very comfortable, located on a high floor overlooking a courtyard and it was lovely and quiet. Fine modern bathroom with good quality towels and products. Bar/cafe area on the ground floor is large and comfortable. Very happy with the stay and I’ve already booked a return visit and also changed another reservation to stay at Motel One in Prague.
Fabulous hotel in the city centre, near public transport and easily accessible. It was perfect for a midweek break and concert to 3Arena. Hotel was clean and staff were very professional. Lovely continental breakfast.
A hidden gem right in the center of Dublin. Loved everything about this hotel location decor and such friendly helpful staff. One of the nicest hotels I've stayed in and I've traveled the world 🌎. So reasonable and I've been sharing it with friends and family.
Excellent stay. The room was ready upon my arrival although it was before noon. The breakfast was good. The bar provided me relaxing times drinking my beers. The loc is perfect near to the bridge of Half Penny, the bars and the pedestrian street , the restaurants and the Spire
Excellent overall. Easy check-in, exceptional location with smaller rooms as expected, quiet evening in comfortable beds. Next to the nightstand were electrical sockets in BOTH the UK and EU plug style - well thought out for guest convenience!
Great location
Really enjoyable night stay myself and my Girlfriend really enjoyed it, From front of house staff to bar staff everyone was so kind and friendly, Room was spotless, bed extremely comfortable. Great price too, will definitely be staying again
Very basic hotel. Seems geared to large tour groups. Good location.
One of the best hotels I’ve stayed in. If you’re staying in Dublin then this is the place for you. Central to everything and a 10/10 from me.
Really enjoyable stay in Dublin at Motel One. Room excellent and clean, the bed is so comfortable and slept really well. The staff however are the stars. Always friendly and very helpful throughout our stay.
We were in Dublin for a Fri & Sat and then again the following Sat. The first room we had was small with no A/C. The air in the room was pretty dead. The following Sat we were given a handicap room on the 7th floor. Did not request one or need one, but the room was much larger & a much better room overall. Happy to have it.
Clean rooms and friendly staff
Overall, nice, friendly hotel in good position and good value for money.
Superb clean room excellent facilities would highly recommend
It had everything we needed. Staff are excellent. Breakfast was nutritious.
Clean, modern, spacious. The staff went above and beyond to make sure I had a comfortable stay.
Great location, Great room. Great service. 24 hour reception and bar is a really nice service. The only reason for not scoring 10 is that I think breakfast doesn't offer great value for the money in my opinion. For that money, I would expect a hot breakfast option not a continental style. All presented well and lots out, but as someone looking for a low-carb high high-protein meal, options are extremely limited to warrant the cost. All in all, a great stay thanks.
Beautifully decorated, fantastic location, super clean, friendly staff and amazing price. The only slight downside was that the breakfast was continental rather than a cooked offering. However to be fair, this was made clear at the time of booking, I just didn't pay much attention and although it wasn’t a cooked breakfast, the selection was ample - we certainly got our moneys worth. I had pretty much ruled out events and nights out in Dublin as a result of extortion hotel prices but that is not longer the case. Already looking forward to staying at Motel One again.
All staff was awesome !!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Motel One Dublin. All staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. The hotels decoration was fantastic. The rooms were luxurious and the beds were extremely comfy. We would highly recommend and visit again, thank you.
Great location, nice clean room with hairdryer and inhouse shampoo & hand wash gel, bathroom modern & tidy, water pressure great. Adequate room for one or two adults, aircon works well. TV works well. Very comfy bed, choice of pillows, desk, area for one suitcase. Small clothes hanging space, tea & coffee, milk etc provided. No inhouse water provided in room, no fridge. Downstairs continental breakfast delicious (pre order at cost), 24 hour bar downstairs, smoking area with seating connected to bar area (outside), super friendly staff, highly recommend. Weather in June lovely. Liz from Australia.
Very clean, friendly staff, and very comfortable.
We just fell in love with Motel One when we first stayed at Motel One Leipzig - Nikolaikirche in May 2022. The only negative thing is that we had mentioned that we were celebrating my 50th birthday in the reservation and no mention at all by staff once we checked in.
Lovely hotel great location friendly staff
Very enjoyable, quiet, great location, rooms arent huge but they don't need to be. Bed is like a cloud and staff are nice
Wszystko super, preferuję osobną kołdrę nawet w małżeńskim łóżku-tego brakowalo i czegoś na ciepło na śniadaniu.
