Overall, I enjoyed my stay in Ulm - the location of the hotel is just perfect, and the proximity to the Salzstadel carpark is great. The room was comfortable and stylish, the beds were great and made for a good nights' sleep. For this stay I had booked a 'Special One' room, but I felt that there was little difference to the regular rooms I'd previously booked. Whether that was due to a mistake in the room allocation process or simply that there is not that much difference is something that I did not want to spend time exploring. We tried to have a drink in the rooftop bar one early evening, but the member of staff on duty was totally disinterested so we decided to leave. A similar story at reception one morning - the receptionist had wandered off and was not looking round to see if anyone was waiting to be seen. One of the cleaning staff who was nearby answered my question! I know that the hotel in Ulm is a busy city center hotel, but all the same, it would be nice if the receptionists interacted a little more, perhaps a smile or a nod when guests pass?
Very pleasant room! Good room climate, What I missed in my room: A kettle for making coffee or tea. A fridge. I found some old paper (an envelope) from a previous guest, partially hidden behind a curtain. No big deal, but indicates that the cleaning was not 100% perfect. I personally prefer a closed a shower cabin instead of the available semi-open one. But that is a very personal matter of taste. The room is very quiet which is great. However, the ventilation in the bathroom is always on and clearly hearable in the room. Still, the ventilation is not powerful enough to stop fogging on the bathroom mirrors to occur when taking a shower.
I booked “special one room”. Which are rooms, normally on higher floors, with live, view and lots of natural light and, more space, . I stayed many time I Roos like this in Dresden motel one and Munich as well. What we experienced in Ul last 17th October, was a room in first floor, but actually was underground considering we were under a garden plataforma that reached 1/3 of all our windows. Unacceptable. We pay more for less. .

Fijn hotel, prima gelegen. Eén minpuntje nl de ontbijtruimte. Weinig tafeltje met gewone stoelen, veel relaxstoelen met lage tafeltjes. Wij vonden dit niet prettig zitten met een ontbijt.
Het was een kleine kamer maar schoon en alles wat wij nodig hadden voor een korte nacht

Fijn centraal gelegen zodat je makkelijk de stad in kan. Hele leuke rooftopbar (zowel binnen als buiten) met uitzicht op de münster. Ruime rustige kamer (airco maakte wel wat geruis, ‘s nachts uitgezet). Uitstekend en gezond ontbijt! De BeOne app werkte helaas niet om de hotelkamer te openen (dus keycard halen bij het inchecken).

A modern hotel in a great location. We had an accessible room which was spacious and well suited for me as a wheelchair user. Rating it an overall for that there is no possibility to park near the hotel to check in / unload luggage (not the hotel’s fault but still a problem) and for the fact that several items on the menu of the bar were not available/sold out on Sunday evening
Heel fijn verblijf, vriendelijk personeel. Enige min puntje: er hingen nog haren van vorige gasten aan de douchewand.
Jammer dat er geen P plaats is geen thee koffie faciliteit nacht kastje was er niet alleen een plank en die was thv kussen dus viel alles eraf en dat je bij deze beoordeling verder niet apart iets kunt toevoegen incheck top uitcheck niet die was onvriendelijk vroeg en zei verder niks alleen kaart in bak gooien

Prima kamers en faciliteiten, top locatie.
Fijn hotel, zeer schoon en comfortabel. Moderne kamers met goed bed en prima badkamer. Aanrader voor bezoekers aan Ulm.

My stay was adequate, my room although small was comfortable & clean. What I would like to point out was how awful I was left feeling after being refused entry at the front door due to a bar being set up to facilitate the sale of alcohol during a festival. I was told to use the back entrance although it would have been easy to simply move a table to the side. I was forced to walk a route that I was not familiar with & got lost. I came back & asked someone to show me. I said this is disgraceful behaviour & the man moved the table to allow me access . I feel that the profit & gain of the hotel was put before the needs & comfort of hotel guests ! I am back again on the 8th of August at Ulm to attend a wedding & hope that the hotel can do much better. Kind regards Alexandrea Steinemann
From check in til checkout we had a very good experience The shower glass doesn't keep water from affecting the other parts of the bathroom. I had to be very careful
Great location. Customer service excellent. Very accommodating for us travelling with bicycles.
Perfect location, modern hotel with a beautiful rooftop bar. Beds were comfortable, rooms quiet and breakfast offered many choices. Can't fault the hotel, although the rooms were a bit small if you come with a couple of big suitcases. Would certainly use Motel One again.

Erg mooi hotel aan het plein van de dom in het centrum. Goede plek voor overnachting en de parkeergarage is in de buurt van het hotel voor een prima prijs.

the rooms are default motel one, which is a good thing. they are big enough and offer everything needed for short stays (for me anyway). there's a nice small bar under the roof with a small terrace.

Missed eggs or sausage for breakfast. And draft beer.
Prima kamer. Het bed mag iets steviger zijn. Prima badkamer. Goed ontbijt en aardig personeel. Een minpuntje was dat de deur openen met de app niet lukte en ze bij de receptie daar geen hulp bij konden bieden, behalve een extra kaartje voor de deur geven.
Everything was fine, apart from a strange noise in the bathroom (water running or the bathroom ventilation fan). We still do not understand why lots of hotels do not provide bidet attachments. We did not have breakfast in the hotel so we are not in a position to evaluate it.

I still don´t understand why left behind things (coffee cup last time) can be stolen by room personnel, obviously the payment is too bad? The breakfast booking was very complicated and did not reach the bookings list.
I like staying in the Motel One hotels. I know what to expect or not to expect. All I need is available. Staff always very friendly and helpful.

Als Albert Einstein nog zou leven, dan zou hij zich zeker goed vermaken in ons Motel One Ulm. Heerlijke fluwelen fauteuils in de iconische One-kleur turquoise nodigen uit om bij de open haard te na te denken, te knutselen en te speculeren. In de ruime One lobby of in de vergaderzaal kan vol passie gefilosofeerd worden over de natuurwetten. En onder het genot van een vers gemixt drankje aan de panoramabar met uitzicht over de Ulmer Münster kan het genie zelfs zijn eigen notities in de gaten houden. Want de muren zijn overal voorzien van zijn krabbels. Hoe zat dat ook al weer met de equivalentie van massa en energie? O ja, E = mc2.
Hebt u even pauze nodig? In de ruime kamers van het designhotel of op het stijlvolle dakterras met de Ulmer Münster op de achtergrond kunnen de grijze cellen van de beroemdheid uit Ulm zich heerlijk ontspannen. En is de wetenschappelijke interesse eenmaal gewekt is, dan kan hij zelf gratis het internet op met on wifi om de allernieuwste onderzoeksrapporten over de relativiteitstheorie door te nemen. Zelf bij ons uitgebreide ontbijt draait alles om de natuurwetten. Werp een blik op de rijkelijk versierde muren en plafonds en ga helemaal op in het dansspel van de moleculen.
Wilt u de geboortestad van Albert Einstein eens van dichtbij meemaken? Dan bent u bij Motel One Ulm op de juiste plek. Het designhotel ligt midden in het hartje van de stad. Zo kunt de beroemdste bezienswaardigheden gemakkelijk te voet of met de fiets bereiken: zoals Albert Einstein dit 100 jaar geleden deed.
Pal voor de huisdeur, pardon hoteldeur, ligt de Ulmer Münster. Als een enorm reus torent de hoogste kerktoren ter wereld boven u uit. Hij is maar liefst 162 meter hoog. Daarbij zien de Ulmer Grabenhäusle er heel klein uit. Enkele van deze historische huizen uit de 17e eeuw bevinden zich namelijk bijna op ooghoogte.
En dan komt u ook nog persoonlijk oog in oog te staan met Albert Einstein zelf. Midden voor de historische wapenkamer van Ulm (Duits: Zeughaus) steekt de bruisende natuurkundige zonder gêne zijn tong naar u uit, in een kernwapen nog wel. Want wat zou de Einstein-fontein nou zijn zonder een beetje natuurkunde?
Een knorrende maag? Probeer dan eens het favoriete gerecht van Albert Einstein. De grondlegger van E = mc2 was dol op Schupfnudeln. Maar goed dat deze regionale klassieker ook in de buurt van uw hotel in Ulm geserveerd wordt: geheel volgens de traditie met zuurkool. "En Guada!", wenst Einstein u in het Zuid-Duitse dialect.
