Overall we like this hotel. We stay here often. However, our experience when checking in this time fell below expectations. Firstly, when being checked in by Danielle, whilst I’m sure it was with good intentions, she immediately asked if we had 2 separate rooms. As my fiancé and I are of the same gender, this wasn’t what I wanted to hear. Following this, we were checked in and went to our room. We booked the Special One but the room given was a standard room, very small, and bed made for 1 person. We went straight back down and was served by Danielle again. She apologised, which I appreciated and went to sort with the manager. Whilst this took some time, she got the room sorted and we were very happy with the room given. She also provided us a voucher for 2 free drinks, which we also appreciated. Although she did refer to my fiancé as my “friend”, which again I wasn’t very keen on. I do appreciate there may have been a language challenge and understand this may have just been an accidental “clumsy” use of wrong terminology. Some feedback on how this could be better handled by colleagues would be for all guests to have their room type confirmed. E.g. “So you’ve booked a Special One room with one King/Queen bed for 2 people and you’re with us for 4 nights”. This then provides an opportunity for the guest(s) to jump in and say, for example “oh no I booked a twin room” if that is indeed what the guest(s) wanted. Also, regarding the friend word, it would have been better to say something along the lines of “Do you and your fellow guest like cocktails or beers?” Rather than what was said, which was like this but “friend” was used instead of “fellow guest”. These minor changes in how the reception team refer to these can make a big difference for LGBT people like myself. Apart from this, the room was great, the hotel was great as always and we will stay again. I hope the feedback helps elevate the service provided even more and it’s useful.
Tiny rooms. Not able to log on to the app anymore after forgetting the password forced me to extend my stay @ higher rate (10%). Water which suppose to be on the room for members was missing. 20€ deposit for an iron - are you kidding me?? Just make a note where it is and pick it up again. Also, no direct contact to the reception forced me to go down myself to pick it up - twice actually since I had no cash on me! It is easy to deploy a what’s app channel for a direct line to reception if you are to budget constraint to install phones on the room. Not a must have again I’d say!
The hotel itself, the rooms, breakfast and the staff are excellent. But I would urgently suggest to improve the checkin procedure - to wait for 45 minutes at 3pm in a queue that was getting even longer around 4pm is not acceptable. I wanted to pay when we arrived at 10am and stored our luggage, but that was declined and delayed till checkin. Why? it would make it a lot faster. I think you should either start handing out room keys earlier / as soon as the rooms are available or have even more employees available to speed up the process.
The location was great, staff was great however walking past all of the guest smoking at the entrance was terrible. The smoke filled the lobby and bar area. Would have loved to use the restaurant but 19,00 euros per person is a bit much for breakfast.
Super location, welcome, room, facilities
wifi was very slow (upload speed), couldn't work from there
Everything was okay except that for some reason they refused to give me the hardcopy of my receipt even after 48 hours' notice and its 5 days since I checked out and I am still waiting!
Very comfortable location, nice staff, clean
Instaure 9 nights. 5 of those I had to work virtually and 3 of those the internet connection was poor. I complained to reception. 3 men came to say they knew about it and some equipment had to be changed in the whole building. Conclusion: nothing could be done. That was a pity because for the rest I’ve stayed many times at this hotel and I like it.
Really good location, facility, and price! A better coat hanger/closet would be the only plus
The accommodation was very basic for the money I paid. I wouldn’t book it next time I am in Vienna.
Very nice hotel, with nice atmosphere but very crowded and sparse breakfast
As always I loved it. I stayed in 8.03 which was meticulously cleaned every day. My all time favorite hotel anywhere.
Loved it. Clean, nice room. Amazing view. Great and friendly staff. The wifi was a tad weak.
Very clean hotel and friendly staff. Easy check in and ideal central location to the main for travel across Vienna via Metro bus or tram and easy to get to by train from airport. Great value comfortable beds and pleaasant rooms.
Gut!
Location is good. The check-in line is usually quite long. The room is dark without insufficient lighting. Wifi is slow and unreliable.
it's a great hotel with superb views
Nice hotel and good location, very basic rooms
Friendly staff, good location and clean rooms
The Bath wasn't as clean as it should be. There was hair left from the previous resident inside the shower an at the floor.
Great service at the reception! Despite us showing up too late at the wrong date and being fully booked, they were able to find a solution with no additional costs involved. Thanks!
Just like the name it is a one star Motel. For starters there is no Safe box, no telephone, no air conditioning in the room and no gym. They give you one soap for body and hair. You do not require key to access the elevator which is unsafe. If you want to check out little later other hotels do allow late check out for free until 2 pm. This Hotel charges eur 10/ hour. Rooms are very small it is not a family hotel! Only positive is that it is right across from Central Station. Breakfast has very limited option certainly not worth Eur17.90. They charged me full amount for my stay even though I am a member they should have given me 10% discount as advertised. They do false marketing to attract customer this way.
This is an excellent hotel-my room was very clean and comfortable and the shower had great pressure. I did not eat breakfast but did enjoy a few drinks in the bar area, which was busy and had a great atmosphere. The staff are friendly and the location is really convenient being next to the main railway station and all its transport links. This chain represents super value for money.
We enjoyed our stay and the hotel matched our experiences of other Motel Ones. It would help travellers if instructions to get to the airport were more detailed. We got the wrong train to the wrong station very late at night. Fortunately kind people helped us.
Flottes Service beim Einchecken. Ansonsten Service when needed, Privacy when wanted!
Alles super!
I have stayed many times at this hotel. This time my experience was less good than usual. I arrived very early and no room was available. They told me they would tell me when one would become available. Nobody ever came. It took until midday before I got a room. That surprised me. Many people check out early. I would expect the cleaning crew to start with those so that rooms become available for checkin.
Great location, clean rooms
As always, excellent!
check-in and check-out took very long, they key for the room did not work with the 1st attempt so I had to go back to the reception, waiting at the elevator again for a long time etc ....
Super smooth as always & kind person at the reception. Thanks!
Staff are always very friendly and helpful!
Well located next to Wein HBF and tram stop D for quick transport to centre of town, passes Schloss Belvedere. Big hotel for business travellers, rooms simple, clean and comfortable. Welcome at reception not as good as Motel One in Graz! Good breakfast.
Alles gut.
Clean and tidy room and bathroom. Nicely sized and equipped breakfast. Very good and friendly staff.
TV in room 629 didn't work.
Il manquais une armoire
Bon séjour chez Motel One Hauptbahnof Wien, personnel sympathique et professionnel, hôtel très propre, bien insonorisé, confortable, petits déjeuners bien garnis. Personnel à l'écoute des clients. Parfait!
