I've been coming to the Oktoberfest since 1978 and have stayed at the Motel One in Munich every year since 2009, when your location at Sendlinger Tor opened. I've even stayed at your hotel three times in August. What can I say? I think this is enough to assess my satisfaction with you...
I had a wonderful stay at this hotel and can highly recommend it. The service was outstanding from the very beginning. A special thank you to Maria at Reception – she was incredibly professional, kind, and always willing to help. Her warm and welcoming attitude made me feel comfortable from the first moment. I also want to mention Electra from the dining area – she was always so friendly, attentive, and made every meal a pleasure. Her hospitality and smile created such a positive atmosphere. The hotel itself was very comfortable, well-maintained, and thoughtfully arranged. Everything worked perfectly, and I felt truly cared for throughout my stay. Overall, thanks to the amazing staff, my experience was exceptional. I will definitely return and recommend this hotel to others.
Convenient
Everything was great. Super easy check-in, room comfortable & clean, staff nice, breakfast very good. Breakfast hostess was super friendly!
The room was cold, impossible to sleep in that temperature. We complained to the front desk and they gave us portable heaters (never had that happen in a reputable hotel). The door to my room was broken and wouldn't lock; the only way to close it was to slam it with all my might, making a loud noise that woke up the entire floor. The room was dark and very narrow. Totally inadequate for the price paid. Breakfast was very poor; I've never found a hotel of any standing without scrambled eggs and bacon in the morning. Complimentary slippers were missing from the room. The only exception is the location, just outside the historic center.
Dear Team, The first room I was given was on 1st floor, next to parking entrance… horrible! Having paid 800 Eur for 3 nights, this is just not acceptable. Thanks to a very kind and helpful receptionist I could change to a room on floor 4 - with a nice big window towards Herzog-Wilhelm Str. A few things that could be improved: - Room doors are extremely loud, to properly close them from outside only possible by slamming, this should be fixed - at breakfast it is very hectic and chaotic, staff doing their utmost to restock the buffet and keep the tables clean, as solo traveller difficult to keep the table, went to grab another coffee and left on the table o-juice and my plate with croissant and half a bread roll i intended to finish with a coffee. When back everything was removed… took a new croissant, than the table was taken by somebody else even though my coffee was on the table… this is not a nice way to start the day. But honestly not sure how the breakfast experience can be improved… guess a lot depends on the behavior of the other guests…
Everything was great except we had a spotty WiFi signal.
Amazing hotel in wonderful location. We selected one of the rooms with a balcony and I am so happy we did. Beautiful views!!
- bathroom way too small for a 330€ per night room. I understand flex pricing but a sealing should be implemented - I was in room 812 and the lift noises prevented me from a good night sleep
Rooms a little small compared to other Motel One Hotels and breakfast room is far too small for the number of guests - difficult to find a table and many are very close together
The general experience wasn’t up to the usual standard. Check in was awkward, the room felt ok. I don’t like just having one towel per person in the bathroom, that’s annoying. Bar service only satisfactory and breakfast was pretty average. Just not to the normal high standard
Great location, comfortable bed, good view. Couldn’t ask for more.
Tolles Stadthotel
Very good location, modern and comfortable style at reasonable price - you can’t ask for more.
I often stay at Motel One because it represents value for money. This time however there were a couple of things wrong with the room that could not be rectified. Firstly, we were not able to access the wi-fi in our room. We were told that a technician would look at it on the following day, but nothing changed. I mentioned this to staff and they weren't able to provide any helpful suggestions other than I should come to the lobby if I wanted to use the internet. This is what I had to do, which was very inconvenient. Secondly, the air conditioning didn't work in the room either, which meant that we had to sleep with the window open. As our room faced the street, we were consistently disturbed by the noise of people outside, a daily street cleaner and the rubbish removal people. It was luckily not too hot outside, so the room temperature was ok. Overall, we still like Motel One. However, the lack of the 2 basic features mentioned above made our trip less than satisfactory.
Everything excellent - could not fault a thing! Reception friendly, location perfect, room lovely, views fantastic.
Our first time at a Motel One - it won't be our last. Excellent value for money.
Great location, good price quality ratio in old city center. Parking in the area this very expansive though. Breakfast could improve
Alles war super 😊.
Excellent location and very nice and friendly staff. The rooms are basic and small. Bathrooms are smaller. No closet in the room. The door of the rooms are very heavy and mine kept getting stuck so I struggled with opening the door all the time.
We usually love Motel One, and as a wheelchair user I especially appreciate the chain’s great city-center locations, which make exploring by foot easy. The staff at this property were very friendly and accommodating. Unfortunately, the accessible room at this location was not ideal. The very narrow single bed was unsafe for someone with mobility issues — I could have easily fallen out when turning in my sleep, risking injury. My aide also could not have stayed in the same room, which is a problem for anyone needing assistance. Staff did their best to help by finding me another room with a larger bed to sleep in, while still allowing me to use the accessible bathroom. However, the bathroom itself had safety concerns: the shower only had a freestanding stool instead of a fold-down seat with side rails, which is more stable and secure. The shower bar was mounted too close to the wall, with limited reach and adjustability, making it difficult to use properly. These details are small but important for accessibility — and in other Motel One locations, they have worked much better. I hope this feedback helps improve the experience for future guests with mobility needs.
Very pleasant hotel. I would describe it as a good midrange hotel in terms of budget and facilities. The lobby area and breakfast were very nice, and the service was good. Very convenient location.
the hotel is conveniently located, it is good to have a garage and it would be even better if the automatic opening would work, the room is ok, but a bit small
Great, but there was a funny smell in the bathroom
Everything was ok. The welcome water is nice. I was missing a water boiler and 1-2 cups for tea / coffee.
I am a regular guest at Motel on in Munich, but this was my first stay at Sendlinger Tor. The location is fantastic, very central and convenient. The hotel lobby / bar / terrace is stylish, laid back and relaxed. Your service team does an amazing job, all friendly and good chats, helpful and professional in preparing drinks, waiting tables and giving recommendation at the check-in. The rooms are nice & modern, but I am used to that Motel One style. :) The room cleaning has got some room for improvement - and also the hallway in 5th floor with the holes, bruises and scratches in the walls. That does not give a nice impression - and its one of the 1st things guests notice when they enter the hotel. Overall - it's been fantastic and I already booked a return in November. :)
It is not clean as other hotels of the group. I have stayed in Motel One in Dresden (the best one), Bonn, Rostock and Munich. Furthermore, there is no too much place for the breakfast. I stayed twice in this hotel in Munich and every time you have the impression that it is fully booked.
Great location. Staff very friendly and helpful. Comfortable and quiet room. Delicious breakfast included. I would definitely return to this hotel.
The hotel super, and we got rooms with awesome view. One of the friendliest and nicest receptionists we’ve ever met! From the moment we arrived, he made us feel genuinely welcome. He recommended exactly the restaurant we were hoping to find, recomended us on what to have and helped us with absolutely everything we needed. Super helpful, kind, and full of good energy. 10 out of 10 to this guy! Thanks for making our stay even better!
Check in was great, staff was nice, rooms were clean, breakfast was overpriced and not worth it.
very noisy, we're used to get cleaner rooms. Bathrooms were not that clean, you could see some leftovers from previous people...
Alles super!
Alles top!
The only thing that I have an issue is the breakfast is average while other services are very good Thank you!
