I emailed regarding breakfast and received no respinse
1. No price value - I would not pay your rates again for what is delivered. 2. Reception service and attention to help guest is not satisfactory - to casual. 3. Why is the entire reception only served by men? 4. The rooms are very clean but it reminds me of a youth hostel . Not even a glass to drink water is provided . Zero Charme and insufficient comfort . 5. The lift and walking situation from the ground floors with big luggage is awful. I had to carry my heavy luggage down the stairs because the receptionist did give me wrong instructions on a piece of paper . 6. The breakfast could be so much better with little effort. Again low service and quality for the price paid . 7. The entrance area is awful having heavy luggage - no help offered at all. I will not recommend this hotel to anyone nor return . It is ok to keep things simple but there is no heart in this place . It is “Massenabfertigung”

Another comfortable and excellent stay. As always the staff are excellent from reception, to bar, to housekeeping, to breakfast. It is always a pleasure speaking to the breakfast staff who remember me from previous visits - they are an asset to the company and it is always great to see them. Bar staff were highly attentive. I scored the room slightly lower on this occasion, this was simply because the space was so big it actually felt a little empty, like it needed something else, but was comfortable overall. I look forward to staying again with you soon.
We stayed September 3-5 ‘25. Pascal is a fabulous bartender. His knowledge of the cocktails and the huge selection of Gin’s was extraordinary. Pascal has an easygoing and comforting personality to connect with his patrons. His engaging and fun personality makes people feel connected to you brand. Pascal has a leaders mentality. Don’t loss him.

The rooms had inadequate facilities. There was no glass for drinking water merely a paper cup which wasn't even replaced in 5 days. There were no tea/coffee making facilities. There was insufficient hanging space for clothes. The room and bathroom were spacious however there was insufficient bench space in bathroom so toilet bags could not be left in bathroom. The bed was comfortable but overall the room was badly designed. The breakfast buffet was badly designed so with many people it became a chaotic mess.

I especially appreciated the supportive, responsive staff, the cleanliness, the quiet, and the windows that open to fresh air! The room was often too warm for me, and I was unable to lower the temperature. I would have appreciated a glass or a paper cup to drink water and brush my teeth. Some days we received paper cups, some days not. I would have helped sort my trash into recycle or not recycle if you had provided instructions. Thank you for your continuous quality improvement attitude!

Tiny rooms, no amenities (unless you count the two paper cups and sandpaper-like towels), drab paint, no where to put clothing or luggage.
Comfortable. Great lounge area nd outside patio. Wonderful breakfast. The front desk could have some more information at their finger tips like and easy place to eat when being jet lagged.
There was no heating. The temperature in Zurich was 12C in the morning (even if it went to 25C in the afternoon) and my room was freezing cold. The reception arranged for an extra blanket, but I was still getting out of bed in a cold room.
We stayed for an entire week in August 2025. Our stay was wonderful. The room was always very clean and comfortable. The bed is also comfortable. We didn't hear almost any street noise. The breakfast was plentiful and tasty. The staff was always friendly, professional and helpful.
Staff were remarkably helpful - I was not in the best of health and required extra assistance at points, they were very kind and made sure I was all right. My only minor frustration - no laundry possible, which makes summer difficult when it's hot.
I enjoyed my stay very much, and the breakfast and location, for the international congress, was really wonderful. However, I had a distressing experience with your taxi service to the airport on Saturday. I had, I thought reliably, been quoted by your reception staff and another taxi driver in the lobby that a hotel taxi to the airport would cost me around 70 swiss francs, so I trusted this information. However, when I arrived at the airport, the taxi driver demanded 94 swiss francs, plus a tip, so it cost me 100 swiss francs for 15 minutes to the airport. He seemed shocked that I had been quoted 70 swiss francs and that I had, stupidly, trusted the information given to me by your reception staff. As an elderly person on a budget, this seemed incredible to me. I should have been told, by the reception, that it would cost me between 70--100 swiss francs. If this was truly the case, I would have booked the airport taxi elsewhere to obtain a more competitive price. I feel a little duped and taken advantage of. After this incident, I don't think I would trust the information given to me by your reception again. Julienne McLean London

Room 54 was below the ground floor I felt like being in a cellar .. very small room .
Clean , comfy bed , fresh linen but small room. A few things in room needed maintenance attention, such as bedside lamp and the plug in bath room basin. There was very little space for clothes, belongings and our cases. I had to live out of my case , having it next to the bed! Breakfast was extremely crowded . The selection was ok , limited but no frills. Mainly lots of types of breads, small selection cereal ( none of which I could eat) , cheeses and meats, fruit. Only a few natural yoghurts , otherwise sugary ones. There was enough although as I was gluten free there was no bread that I could eat. I had expected things like linseed, pumpkin and chia seed to add to yoghurt but these were not available. The seating area downstairs is spacious and attractive. A good location for trams , the lake and old town . By UK standards this was very expensive hotel for the standard but Zürich is one of the most expensive cities in the world!
Small room. Small bed. Almost no window. Room smelled. Terrible experience for a loyal customer who has probably over 100 nights stayed at your hotel.
Breakfast pretty good, Bar food terrible, Rooms very small and poorly designed, no where to put your things, bathroom ridiculously small. Nice downstairs sitting area.
Small but confortable room - very quiet as requested. Tiny functional shower room with good towels. Nice bed linen - we were given separate single duvets on a kingsized bed. Very helpful staff and a breakfeast that was better than anticipated - great bircher muesli, fruit, yoghurt, eggs, cheese & all the usual breads/croissants, but no decaffeinated coffee. We stayed at a busy time so it was at times rather chaotic but the staff remained calm & responsive. If we had know there were 3 coffee machines that would have been helpful to shorten the queue! Useful to have free wifi.& 2 USB connectors - Switzerlad has it's own unique plugs, not like the rest of Europe It would have been helpful to have an indication in the room about whether the tap water was safe to drink. (NB: If you book as a member of the hotel chain you get a free bottle of water in the room.), and also to have a sponge or flannel provided. Coffee/tea facilities would have been a welcome touch. Based on this expereince we would definitley try a Motel One in another city.

Great hotel and location, reasonably priced Only feedback was the reception area lighting was very dark and our shower leaked from the base as the screen wasn't sealed when pulled out which made the bathroom floor very wet every shower
Everything was very pleasant. Luna the bartender was quite wonderful and professional. She remembered us and went out of her way to make us feel special and cared for. She made a wonderful old fashioned!! Thank you Luna!

The place to stay when you visit Zurich. High level accomodation and service as always when staying at any of the motel one hotels. A beautiful building outside located just 7-8 minutes walk from main train station and main street banhofstrasse. Luxury rooms comfortable beds and modern design 24/7 lounge bar service
The hotel itself is beautiful and the staff were very friendly. It would be nice to have a fridge in the room and tea/coffee otherwise we had a fantastic stay and would definitely come back to Motel One.

Very nice hotel. Walking distance to much in Zurich, but in a quiet area away from all the tourists. Good contemporary rooms and bathroom. Very cozy bar!
The steps into the hotel are difficult to negotiate with luggage.

Overall a positive experience, location is excellent, friendly staff, smooth check-in and check-out. But every week I struggle with the ironing board which I have to request at reception and it's super low-quality, not to mention the iron - for me on business travel this is essential.

Fantastic Stay again. Friendly staff (Especially Anastasiia, from the bar) greeting me with espresso, can't beat that. Rooms were clean and nice. I did not book it with breakfast since on my last stay there, it was disappointing. The rest, no complaints.

Dobrý poměr cena / výkon. Výborná poloha blízko centra města. Dostatečně prostorný pokoj. Nové vybavení IKEA. Dostatečně vybavená kuchyně, avšak bez mikrovlnné trouby. Pokoj otočený do rušnější ulice. Škoda drobností, které nejsou OK - nedopalky cigaret na balkóně, chybějící ovladač k TV, nedobře seřízené dveře u koupelny. Příjemné přivítání s 2 kapslemi kávy, avšak bylo by super, aby bylo možné další kapsle dokoupit na recepci, zejména v době, kdy mají obchody zavřeno.
