Everything was perfect. Easy check in and check out, baggage stored for the day, clean and quiet room, good price, would stop here again.
The hotel price was too expensive even though I am a member.To make matters worse, on arrival, the hotel did not appear to be full.The shower enclosure was slippery and they have removed earth mugs and glass tumblers replacing them with horrible ‘sustainable plastic mugs’. No longer worth the money, I don't expect to be booking any more Motel Ones in future.

Ideal place to stay , location in the heart of town
Lovely hotel, quiet and efficient, great location in the heart of the city.
Outstanding value for money and deservedly very popular. Rooms are well designed and furnished with quality fittings well above the price bracket. Staff are always friendly and helpful. Excellent location too. Why stay anywhere else in a city if drab corporate hotels?
First and foremost, I want to commend the staff at this hotel. From messaging with queries ahead of my stay to the staff I encountered during my stay, everyone was friendly, profressional and top rate. The location is perfect and the hotel has a relaxed vibe which I really like. The room itself was clean, well provisioned and very comfortable. However, there were a few issues which I did need to raise. On the first morning of my stay, there was no hot water. This for me is simply unacceptable. I did report this to the hotel and it was resolved by the time I returned later that day, but even so, it should never have happened. Later that day, we then had no water at all - again I reported this and it was very promptly fixed but even so, you can't be cutting off a guests water. Finally the AC in the room, as other reviewers have mentioned, this simply has a mind of its own. I don't know if the hotel disable the cool option in the winter, but all we could get was warm air, not matter which option we selected. It was either have hot air or turn it off - but that then left the room feeling stuffy. In the end, we we slept with the window open which was far from ideal in a city centre location. I have a real bugbear about hotels that restrict AC controls in this way. Again I reported to reception and they said they would look into it, but it never seemed to be any different. Overall, I would stay here again - mainly because of the staff and location, but there are a couple of improvements around the AC and reliability of water systems that do need to be addressed. I do think the hotel should have offered a partial refund or at least free breakfast for the inconveniance of the issues I had, but none were offered.
Everything was as advertised. Communication was excellent. Bed was 10/10 comfortable. Spotlessly clean throughout. Reception respectful and efficient. Definitely would book with this company again.
Room was very room went down to reception multiple times was told this issue would be resolved it never was a very restless sleep in a hot room is not what you want on a trip. All rooms should be able to be fully controlled by paying guests.
Room is very basic, best suited for short term stays. Very hard beds and lumpy pillows. Air con is unreliable. Not a good night sleep had. Friendly check in and breakfast staff

Welcome/Check in - online check in is pointless as you still need to queue to check in when you arrive, the receptionist was fantastic though. The room- clean, spacious, good temperature. check out - very quick and the gentleman on reception was fab and friendly. The only thing is alot of the communication is in German - no issue if i was in Germany, having to use translate is not good.
The hotel and staff in general are fine. However the rooms are filthy with dust. I suffer allergies and was wondering why I was up all night with disturbed sleep with coughing and sneezing. Second visit to the hotel and same issue. If you look behind the TV it’s filthy with dust. Dust down towards the back of the bed and anywhere that takes more effort to vacuum. Noticeable where small tables are. The carpet in these areas look like they have never seen a vacuum. No wonder I was up all night. Two stays now like this and it might be my last. On the surface appears value for money, but no sleep doesn’t make it worth it for me.
Service was exceptional from start to finish, staff were very accommodating, rooms were immaculate as was the open areas. All 4 of said we will definitely stay here again
Excellent service from all staff. Issue with outside noise on first night but was promptly moved to new room after reporting this. Comfy bed, lovely walk in shower Solo femal felt safe in hotel and surrounding area. Great location, would stay again

Overall the hotel was very clean, was happy with the room but was very disappointed with how uncomfortable the bed was, which lead to me and my partner not having a good sleep through the night.
Heating didn’t work in room we were given. Freezing when we got there so told reception. Went out for the evening and the hearing was sorted and put into 25 degrees which meant the room was like sleeping on the sun. Had to open the window which lead into back street where wagons and bin wagons kept us awake all night

Great service and Room. Breakfast charge of £14.50 for a boiled egg and a tea was a bit steep, parking was good and onsite too.
All staff, without exception, were bright and cheerful and made me feel welcome. My room was small but perfectly formed and was spotlessly clean. From within my bedroom I had to conduct a Teams meeting with an important client. The hotel wi-fi allowed me to do this without incident and this was an impressive feature for me.

Booked Special One room as a birthday treat for my daughter and her partner- the room they were given did not match up to description on website- very small, small bed, no desk - they asked at reception but were told it was classed as a Special One room- very disappointed as definitely not as advertised
Very friendly staff, lovely bar, nice clean rooms and excellent value for money in a very convenient location.
Unfortunately, the cleanliness of the room was below par. The bedding was visibly dirty and stained, and there was a hair stuck between the fitted sheet and the mattress, which was very off-putting. This significantly impacted the comfort of my stay and is not what I would expect from this hotel.

Frome the moment we arrived, we were impressed. The hotel reception is a warm and inviting area. The receptionists helped us with train times and made it clear they were there to help whenever we needed. The room was comfortable and warm (it was very cold outside)

The reception was very friendly at all times. The problem with the room being too hot was sorted very quickly. One comment about room 646 - a shelf under the television would have been useful.
Everything we required was provided. We stayed over needing a good clean room with short and toilet facilities. The bar was well stocked and the staff were friendly and helpful.
I enjoy staying at Motelone, the rooms are clean and they are usually good value for money. This is my second stay in a UK Motelone in last couple of months. The rooms are great, however I have noticed that there has been an increase in the price of breakfast but the quality has decreased massively. I used to look forward to the fresh pastries, bread and fruit but now, the bread is hard around the edges, pastries rock hard - it all feels like its either been kept for second day on the trot or just lower shop bought quality. Such a shame.
