- the door wouldn’t shut unless you slam it - The heating wouldn’t work - The shower tray felt as though you could fall through it and was a balancing act - The shower was weaker than… and you couldn’t angle it towards you and it wouldn’t stay in position, so it was washing the wall if you used it without holding it. - £120 is far too much for an insecure room with such inadequate facilities.

The room I had was too hot, ac system didn’t work I requested from Receptionists 3 times to fix it, my sleep disturbed due to this reason and I was not happy at all about my last stay.
Great hotel. We had a lovely stay as usual. Beds are very comfy and the rooms are clean. The location is perfect for those wanting to be close to shops and nightlife without being too noisy. The staff are very helpful and friendly.
The hotel is situated in the heart of Manchester so is perfect for getting around. Hotel lobby and bar look fashionable. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The rooms…basic. On a whole for the price you can’t really complain, after all it’s just a bed!
Our stay was comfortable and we were able to park our car in the secure underground car park. the hotel is very central and the staff were very helpful and friendly
Fantastic hotel, only let down by delays in checking in.
Hotel was well located and public areas were fine. First room we were allocated was an accessible room that was not suitable for us. We requested a change and this was accommodated. However the bed in the new room was broken on one side and very sunken. This was not noticed until halfway through the first night and led to an uncomfortable sleeping experience. We raised this with reception on checkout who noted it but did not give an apology, which was surprising. Overall, did not feel that the hotel was worth the loney paid and the room, which was supposed to be a slight upgrade from the standard room to provide more space, did not feel as such. Bathroom was fine, although water pressure was very poor in the shower.
While I love coming to the motel one hotel every so often. This visit wasn’t to my usual standard that you usually provide - one huge cobweb along the bathroom wall in the room and then had to argue with housekeeping to get the room refreshed as they said as I was staying two nights I don’t get a refresh. This was after I’d already spoken to mama in housekeeping asking for the tool to be done for my return in the afternoon. I got back three hours later and it wasn’t done saying I’d put the do not service card at my door which I hadn’t. I then had to wait a further 30 minutes for the room to be done which clicked up my plans of getting in resting and getting ready to head out in time for a meeting
First visit to this Motel One in a few years. Still as good as before. Great location and good value for money. Clean throughout. Room well sized though it was meant for guests who were disabled or with mobility issues. Enjoyed the hot breakfast options at the hotel - a good selection to choose from. Look forward to staying with Motel One again
Staff very helpful and polite. Good location for what we needed. The directions for parking are non existent, it cost me over another 30 minutes driving around because of this. Despite staff help, clear directions and address for parking should be stated clearly in confirmation email for parking. This really needs addressing - literally! Other than that, I’d definitely stay there again

Super rooms, lovely and clean, reception and check in great even though it was extremely busy they deal with everything super quick and the bar staff were great too. Thanks overall a super experience.

Wij waren 4 dagen (woensdag - zaterdag) in Manchester tijdens de kerstmarkten. Tip: ga niet in het weekend naar de kerstmarkt. Te druk en opgeschoten jeugd. Daarnaast cathedral, library, art and design centre, people historical museum. Alles is gratis toegang. China town, cottonfield. Vergeet niet the flat baker, double zero pizzeria en natuurlijk op de kerstmarkt bij piccadilly gardens de pie beef with mash and gravy. Fijn hotel midden in het centrum, in het mooie gedeelte en alles is op loopafstand. Ongeveer 15 minuten lopen vanaf het treinstation. Hadden een standaardkamer geboekt bij Bookong.com (stond ook op reservering). Bij aankomst zei receptionist dat we een gehandicaptenkamer hadden geboekt. Hij zei gelijk zal ik een normale kamer geven? Meedenkend en vriendelijk maar ms foutje in systeem bij Booking.com? Kamer was netjes. Enige wat ik zag was een beetje tandpasta aan de zijkant van de waskom. Heb dat zelf maar weggeveegd, zag je alleen als je op de wc zat. Prima matras, kussens, fijne douche, hele dikke handdoeken en de douchekop heeft 3 standen. Douchewater kan uit de cabine lopen als je de douchekop niet gewoon laat hangen. Ons raam ging niet open. Klusjesman James heeft dit snel en vakkundig verholpen. Was vriendelijk, hebben we nog een leuk gesprek mee gehad en dankzij hem zijn we nog naar Altrincham geweest omdat we ook even de drukke stad uit wilden. Leuk om ook even met de metro te gaan. Koffie en thee op de kamer. Europese stekker aan de ene kant van het bed en aan de andere kant 2 usb aansluitingen. Al met al complimenten aan de medewerkers. Top hotel. Wij hebben genoten.

Nice hotel, good staff. Strangely, why give out water at reception, have in rooms. Have proper cups in room. Shower head and accessories are cheap.
Absolutely terrible service by one receptionist and the manager. They tried to charge me for an upgraded room (bigger bed) but tried to give us a smaller bed and say they is nothing they can do about it
Great location and very comfortable
Great location but WiFi and AC/heating didn’t work and when I asked about it, on both days reception staff basically said I was wrong or incompetent and no repair was made or update given. The windows don’t open, sogood ventilation is key.
Lovely location staff were brilliant and couldn't be more helpful and professionally. Room was lovely and comfortable, hotel was lovely can't recommend highly enough

Excellent service on arrival by reception who changed my room so we were all together in same corridor on 1 st floor. We were 5 ladies together with 1 pair sharing . Great location in centre of city so walked to the Xmas markets and shops . My first time in Manchester and loved it . Lots of lovely old buildings but modern architecture too - Media City fab ! Trams easy to access and reasonable in cosy .
The stay was great and the staff was amazing. The room is just quite small and lacking wardrobe and mini fridge was uncomfortable for me. Also Wi-Fi kept falling frequently. Other than this, everything was perfect and special thanks to the whole team and the housekeeping service.

This is my second stay at Motel one and I wasn't disappointed. The room is clean and has quality furnishing, bathroom was spotless. My kettle was broken, I called reception and within a couple of minutes I had a new one delivered. great location and great service.

This was not my first time at this hotel and it will not be my last. Perfect location. Friendly staff especially Ginevra at reception and Elettra at breakfast. They are an asset to this hotel.

Wir konnten bereits um 11 Uhr einchecken, das war top. Die Dame an der Rezeption war sehr bemüht. Leider ist dauernd die Klimaanlage angesprungen und es war super kalt im Zimmer. Wir waren zwei Nächte da und mussten uns drei mal beschweren. Bis das Zimmer dann wieder warm wurde, dauerte entsprechend. Uns wurde gesagt die können nur Flurweise die Temperatur einstellen?! Was ein Quatsch für ein Hotel mit 40 Zimmer pro Flur! Ansonsten Lage und Freundlichkeit Top.
Very small room with little space for 2 large suitcases and for hanging items. Well presented room. Hotel is good location. Nice breakfast but more staff needed to clear away tables for new guests.

Absolutely love this hotel, from the moment you arrive the service and hospitality is second to none. It's the little touches of being able to leave your luggage before check in and on your departure day. The staff are so friendly and professional at all times.

Super Lage! Klimaanlage ist sehr, sehr kalt, auch wenn man sie runterstellen kann. Der Fön kann im Bad nicht angeschlossen werden aus Sicherheitsgründen. Aber dann sollte eine Steckdose in der Nähe des Spiegels sein. Frühstück sehr gut. Aber die Rühreier waren jeden Tag lauwarm bis fast kalt. W-Lan hat auf der 7 Etage nicht funktioniert!
Das Hotel war im Prinzip wie alle Motel Ones, aber was anders war, ist, dass man das Fenster nicht öffnen konnte. Noch nicht einmal auf Kipp. D.h., dass die einzige Frischluft über die Klimaanlage kam. Das war so vorher nicht ersichtlich und hätte transparent gemacht werden müssen.
