Conveniently located opposite Manchester Piccadilly train station, check-in was fast and efficient, all be it this was at 11:15 PM. Rooms are basic and functional, but clean and perfectly adequate for an overnight stay, with a comfy bed and tea and coffee-making facilities. The bar was open until the early hours, and breakfast was a continental cold buffet style. I would certainly use it again and recommend the hotel to others looking for an overnight stay.
I’ve stayed at two Manchester locations for Motel One and both times have been brilliant. The prices are fair, the rooms are lovely and the service is efficient. With late check out times and an easy check out process, this is the perfect hotel chain for weekend stays
Everything you’d need from a short stay in a city, well located, early check in, quiet, good WiFi, decent bed and bathroom facilities. Breakfast was decent too.

Hotel was ok but had to ask for an iron and ironing board (Why not have one in every room), there was also a lack of storage for clothes (anymore than one night and you may as well live out of your suitcase). Also no restaurant, had to go out after a long journey to find something and breakfast is spread throughout the lobby, which I found strange.
Clean rooms, comfy bed, great shower. TV reception and limited channels disappointing. Very nice breakfast, polite and helpful staff.

Room was clean, everything I needed was there. I told the staff when I left that there was a smell like sewer in the bathroom at times. I didn’t say it earlier because it wasn’t something I’d change room over, just to let them know. The television though, was falling out in both sound and picture. In the buffet it would have been nice with an english breakfast - hashbrowns, sausages, bacon, scrambled eggs…

This "budget" hotel is absolutely brilliant! We're regular visitors to Manchester for gigs and have stayed here once before and at other places but this is by far the best for location (we travel to Manchester Piccadilly by train), value (not much difference in cost from Easyhotel) the comfort of the room & bed & everything else that comes with this great hotel. Staff are friendly & helpful, there's a nice bar serving local bottled beers and there's a real cool Manchester vice to the place.

Great, comfortable hotel conveniently located near Piccadilly Station. Well stocked bar but lacking in bar staff and although some staff were great others were a little dismissive and reluctant to acknowledge any issues with the room.

Very nice clean modern hotel. Only grumble was the hotel couldn't offer twin (two separate single beds) only queen size double beds available at this location.
Leider waren nahezu allen deutschen TV-Programme nicht verfügbar. Ich weiß, dann ich diesen Service im Ausland nicht erwarten kann, wenn die Programme angezeigt werden, sollten sie jedoch auch verfügbar sein.

I was really impressed with this hotel. The welcome was warm and genuine, and the team seemed to enjoy looking after guests. My room was tidy, comfortable and had everything I needed after a long day. The shower had good pressure, the Wi-Fi worked without any fuss and the whole place felt calm and well kept. I’d definitely book again and recommend it to anyone passing through.
I had a brilliant stay from start to finish. The staff were warm, attentive and made everything feel easy. My room was spotless and surprisingly quiet, with a bed that was genuinely comfortable. The whole place feels well looked after and you can tell the team take pride in it. I’d happily stay again and recommend it without hesitation.

Very comfortable and good value for money. Staff were helpful and polite. I have stayed in these hotels a few times now and find them consistently good.
Breakfast is contenental and excellent. Fresh bread and quality options available. Coffee average. There were 3 lifts which get you to your floor quickly. The room was small with a decent TV and one chair Only one room light switch at one side of the bed and also one 3 pin socket at the other side. A bedside lamp at each side of the bed but at height and difficult in the dark to turn it on. No real wardrobes jut two small rails. The bathroom was modern an clean. The sink had a plug which did not work and water took an age to drain away. Not environmentally friendly to have to leave the tap running all the time.. The shower pressure was terrible having to stand right against it for it to be effective. Good quality towels. Cups provided for tea and coffe where insulated cups suffering from tea/coffee staining not feeling clean. Air con worked OK, that is to heat the room, didnt try cooling. It was quiet in the room not suffering from the noise of other guests.
Spotless hotel, staff very helpful, clean and modern
The bed was terribly uncomfortable, the pillows were flat, lifeless unsupportive and uncomfortable. No coffee machine (which was specified on Expedia), The television signal was awful, going in and out, and freezing every few minutes, like buffering. no bin liner in trash can, Overall the expierience was lacking. Did like how secure the building was at night. Overpriced pop at the bar The cleaners should check condiments for tea, someone had opened and spilled sweeteners. The cups for tea in the room should be ceramic, not plastic. Sink was slow at draining. Shower needs a full glass door to contain water better.
The only negative thing is the size of the room, quite inconvenient for two persons, although the bed is extra big. There was not enough space for our luggage and our clothes (just a minimum space with cloth hangers, just one side table). I also didnt appreciate that it was not possible to use the hairdryer in the bathroom

Would of been a 10 but we where surprised when we opened our room on arrival and found a workman in the room doing repairs which he apologised and said the room should not of been available .
Very comfortable room, very clean and well presented. The check-in was very efficient, The breakfast buffet was very good and I ate out of preference from the continental style counter rather than the cereal counter. Coming back late (130am) on Saturday evening was just with my room card so no drama. The standard double room was very quiet and comfortable although I found myself living more out of my suitcase than I expected as there is very little storage space. As I was only there for 3 nights this wasn't a big deal. There's no bedside switch for the main lights so you need to use the over-bed lights which do have rather fiddly switches on them, but all in all it was OK. I would happily return to this hotel. It's very convenient for Manchester Piccadilly, just a few mins across the road and up the escalators gets you to the tram & another escalator to the mainline station. It's a short walk into the City Centre from there.
My Stay at Motel One Manchester – Piccadilly (13–17 November) I stayed at Motel One in Manchester for four nights, and honestly, I was impressed from the moment I walked through the door. Check-in was amazingly quick, and the staff were so warm and welcoming. They gave me clear directions to my room, and I found it without any trouble at all. I booked a Standard Queen Room, and the first thing I noticed when I walked in was how impeccably clean everything was. The lighting was great, the view was decent, and the whole room just felt inviting from the start. The bed was extremely comfortable, even with the occasional back pain I get, I had zero issues sleeping here. The bathroom was modern and spotless, with seriously impressive water pressure in the shower (a big win in my books). The Wi-Fi clocked in at 92.1mbps, which is honestly one of the fastest speeds I’ve ever seen in a hotel. I didn’t need the heating at all because the room stayed at a perfect temperature. Storage space was totally adequate, with wall-mounted hanging rails and plenty of hangers. Downstairs, there’s a bar that serves both alcohol and coffee. I only tried the coffee, and it was really nice. Plus, the location is unbeatable. Being right in Piccadilly means you're practically surrounded by shops, restaurants, and super close to the tram system. It made getting around ridiculously easy. And as for complaints? Genuinely none! Not a single disappointment! Everything was smooth, comfortable, and easy... Exactly what you want from a hotel stay. I would happily stay here again!
The hotel was clean however the rooms are paper thing and in no way sound proof, the tiniest of noises you can hear. Also had someone out in corridor roaring and shouting and what not. Did phone to reception to complain however unsure if anything was done about this was he was laying outside or door for a ehile. Hotel did do what it was intended for so i wouldnt write it off altogether.
motel one is my favourite hotel for work and for "my time". Is a sort of insurance of clean, lovely place to stay. Small rooms , no frills but welcoming.

Brilliant as always. Staff are wonderful. Shout out to Poppy who is always so lovely, kind, bright and bubbly and just a real credit to the hotel. Another lady on reception who I unfortunately don’t know the name of, but she was really lovely too. Just a good gang of niceness!

Fantastic as always, just what you need for a city break. Had problems with my air conditioning on the Friday night so didn’t sleep well as it was too hot. Asked at reception on the Saturday morning and by the time I got back in the afternoon it had been fixed. I’ll definitely be staying again.
