Staff were very friendly and attentive. Nothing was too much bother for them. The bedroom was lovely, with a great view over Waverley. The breakfast let it down some what. Would be better with a fruit salad but the eggs were great. The state of the corridors wasn't great. However, there was a sign advising it was work on progress.
Waverly train station is just across the street!

Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist absolut überzeugend. Den einzigen Kritikpunkt gibt es für harten Kissen. Da wäre ein zusätzliches, kleines Kuschelkissen sehr wünschenswert!
Very central hotel. Lovely friendly staff. Comfortable bed and good shower. Renovation being undertaken at the moment so some obvious disruption. Usual continental breakfast.
Amazing room with all what we need. The staff was amazing as well . Hotel is near to all sightseeing, and easy to reach from airport!
Room was very basic, however very clean as was the rest of hotel, staff very pleasant, I personally thought choice at breakfast was not great and could be elevated.
Was moved from original room due to transformer (?) buzzing above door to another room (401) that was quiet & comfortable. Staff were great.
The motel is well situated in the centre of town, the rooms are clean, tidy and comfortable,,the staff are polite and friendly and the price is reasonable, the only downside was the continental breakfast, I would of like the choice of a cooked breakfast or continental breakfast x
Excellent location at east end of Princes St (although the entrance is tucked away just behind Princes Street), with friendly and helpful staff, comfortable rooms with good sound insulation. The only negative was the fact that WiFi did not work in any of the rooms we (group of 7) had, only in the lounge (and there too there were occasional problems).

Excellent value for money. Room compact but well laid-out and clean. Bed comfy. 2 chairs as well which is a bonus! Only tiny negative was no mirror over dressing table area - oh, and lack of light and very small towels!That said, location is excellent, staff were very welcoming and friendly and we would definitely visit again.

Room was too hot. No ability to control temperature without sleeping with the window open! WiFi very slow. Good breakfast.
Another great night in Princes street
First time staying at the hotel in Edinburgh and I'll definitely be back. I had problems logging on to my account and Haley was a fantastic help I stayed in Room 117 and had a fantastic view of the Old Town Bed is so comfortable as are the amazing pillows Breakfast was brilliant with a fantastic choice. Lots of gluten free options and the staff couldn't be any more helpful
The hover to the air conditioning unit fell out on the last morning. There were workman outside the building on two days at 6.00am and on one day at 4.30 The breakfast was very poor. There was nothing out when we came down on our first day so we are elsewhere on the other two days. We were put in a 4th floor attic room which was smaller than some we had stated in. Poor all round.
Excellent as always. I've stayed here regularly but am surprised the renovations are still ongoing. Staff are welcoming, helpful and friendly. The room is clean, neat and functional. The bathroom I had this time was super large and lovely! Thank you

Comfortable, hassle free , and a perfect location
A great place to stay in the centre of Edinburgh. Walking distance to Waverley Station which was a must for us, in fact walking distance to pretty much everything. Nice rooms, very nice bar and great staff.
Polite efficient staff and a good location
Excellent location one minute walk from Waverly station. Staff excellent, room clean,, plenty of space, 24 hr bar, breskfast. This has it all at great prece.
Good value for money. Amazing central location. Lovely friendly service. Clean room and comfortable bed. Breakfast is plentiful, fresh and has a great choice. The room was basic and very hot but I was able to open the window and this helped a lot.

Couldn't have been closer to Waverly station if you tried. Literally out the station and across the road. Having said that our room was very quiet with no detectable street noise. Only negative for me was the additional cost of the continental breakfast considering the room cost. Went outside for breakfast.
A friendly welcome. The room was very clean and ready. My only observation (very minor) is that there was no waste bin in the bedroom by the tea and coffee making facilities. The only bin was located in the Bathroom. Other places have a bin in both places.
Warm welcome and a comfortable bed
Fantastic stay at Motel One Princes Street! The location is unbeatable, and the recently renovated lounge is a particular standout. Huge thanks to the team - especially Haley at the Front Office -for their outstanding service and making my stay so comfortable and welcoming. This hotel also offers unbeatable value for money in a prime spot in Edinburgh.
Having stayed at Motel One in other locations I knew what to expect and was not disappointed.The quality is so consistent. These motels are not really motels, they are better and more like hotels.Their proximity to train stations is very important and their cleanliness is impressive.I will be back in the future.
Despite it being January in Edinburgh, I don’t think I’ve ever stayed in such an overheated hotel room. It was uncomfortably warm, despite the window being open and the in room fan being on. Beyond these measures, I had no way to cool the room any further. This did not make for a comfortable nights sleep.
Lovely comfortable hotel. Excellent location for railway station. Very friendly helpful staff. Excellent continental breakfast with plenty of choice.

Wonderful stay. Fabulous location, great breakfast, clean and well organised hotel. All of the staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Super cocktails, helpful at breakfast service and very pleasant at front of desk. Super cleaning service too and one very helpful member of staff, Barbra, found my Aunt’s phone which had been left in bedroom. So grateful to have had such a good team of staff. We asked for their names as feel they deserve recognition. So a huge thanks to AJ, Barbara, Justas, Tom and Renie. A mention for the doorman too who was always friendly and polite. Very enjoyable stay.
Our second hotel in Edinburgh Princes Street, but definitely the best. Lovely staff; comfy bed and a good shower, a great place to stay. We have joined as members & plan to stay in Glasgow & Newcastle too.
Nice bar area and rooms were spacious and clean. A couple of negatives for me were the Wi-Fi was shocking and the heating was off during the night, my room was absolutely freezing.
Great professional service from the food and beverage team. Drinks at bar and breakfast was well prepared and presented.

Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt in diesem zentral gelegenen hübschen und gut ausgestatteten Hotel in Edinburgh. Die ganz besondere Freundlichkeit des Personals hat sehr dazu beigetragen. In der sehr schön gestalteten großzügige Lounge mit Ausblick haben wir uns gern aufgehalten. Beim Frühstück hätten wir uns eine größere Auswahl gewünscht.

We got what we expected from a Motel One. Pleasant staff and comfortable stay. Always interesting to compare and contrast different Motel Ones.
The experience was overall great. Very nice personnel, good food and comfortable and clean room. The only thing I disliked about the room was heating with AC - it took us a while until the room temperature was acceptable (radiator in the room would be better) Breakfast was good, but I missed fried eggs, bacon and sausages. Otherwise, everything else was perfect.
