I often stay at Motel One because it represents value for money. This time however there were a couple of things wrong with the room that could not be rectified. Firstly, we were not able to access the wi-fi in our room. We were told that a technician would look at it on the following day, but nothing changed. I mentioned this to staff and they weren't able to provide any helpful suggestions other than I should come to the lobby if I wanted to use the internet. This is what I had to do, which was very inconvenient. Secondly, the air conditioning didn't work in the room either, which meant that we had to sleep with the window open. As our room faced the street, we were consistently disturbed by the noise of people outside, a daily street cleaner and the rubbish removal people. It was luckily not too hot outside, so the room temperature was ok. Overall, we still like Motel One. However, the lack of the 2 basic features mentioned above made our trip less than satisfactory.
Everything excellent - could not fault a thing! Reception friendly, location perfect, room lovely, views fantastic.
Our first time at a Motel One - it won't be our last. Excellent value for money.
Great location, good price quality ratio in old city center. Parking in the area this very expansive though. Breakfast could improve
Alles war super 😊.
Excellent location and very nice and friendly staff. The rooms are basic and small. Bathrooms are smaller. No closet in the room. The door of the rooms are very heavy and mine kept getting stuck so I struggled with opening the door all the time.
We usually love Motel One, and as a wheelchair user I especially appreciate the chain’s great city-center locations, which make exploring by foot easy. The staff at this property were very friendly and accommodating. Unfortunately, the accessible room at this location was not ideal. The very narrow single bed was unsafe for someone with mobility issues — I could have easily fallen out when turning in my sleep, risking injury. My aide also could not have stayed in the same room, which is a problem for anyone needing assistance. Staff did their best to help by finding me another room with a larger bed to sleep in, while still allowing me to use the accessible bathroom. However, the bathroom itself had safety concerns: the shower only had a freestanding stool instead of a fold-down seat with side rails, which is more stable and secure. The shower bar was mounted too close to the wall, with limited reach and adjustability, making it difficult to use properly. These details are small but important for accessibility — and in other Motel One locations, they have worked much better. I hope this feedback helps improve the experience for future guests with mobility needs.
Very pleasant hotel. I would describe it as a good midrange hotel in terms of budget and facilities. The lobby area and breakfast were very nice, and the service was good. Very convenient location.
the hotel is conveniently located, it is good to have a garage and it would be even better if the automatic opening would work, the room is ok, but a bit small
Great, but there was a funny smell in the bathroom
Everything was ok. The welcome water is nice. I was missing a water boiler and 1-2 cups for tea / coffee.
I am a regular guest at Motel on in Munich, but this was my first stay at Sendlinger Tor. The location is fantastic, very central and convenient. The hotel lobby / bar / terrace is stylish, laid back and relaxed. Your service team does an amazing job, all friendly and good chats, helpful and professional in preparing drinks, waiting tables and giving recommendation at the check-in. The rooms are nice & modern, but I am used to that Motel One style. :) The room cleaning has got some room for improvement - and also the hallway in 5th floor with the holes, bruises and scratches in the walls. That does not give a nice impression - and its one of the 1st things guests notice when they enter the hotel. Overall - it's been fantastic and I already booked a return in November. :)
It is not clean as other hotels of the group. I have stayed in Motel One in Dresden (the best one), Bonn, Rostock and Munich. Furthermore, there is no too much place for the breakfast. I stayed twice in this hotel in Munich and every time you have the impression that it is fully booked.
Great location. Staff very friendly and helpful. Comfortable and quiet room. Delicious breakfast included. I would definitely return to this hotel.
The hotel super, and we got rooms with awesome view. One of the friendliest and nicest receptionists we’ve ever met! From the moment we arrived, he made us feel genuinely welcome. He recommended exactly the restaurant we were hoping to find, recomended us on what to have and helped us with absolutely everything we needed. Super helpful, kind, and full of good energy. 10 out of 10 to this guy! Thanks for making our stay even better!
Check in was great, staff was nice, rooms were clean, breakfast was overpriced and not worth it.
very noisy, we're used to get cleaner rooms. Bathrooms were not that clean, you could see some leftovers from previous people...
Alles super!
Alles top!
The only thing that I have an issue is the breakfast is average while other services are very good Thank you!
Not impressed. Would probably not return although a regular guest at MotelOnes across Europe. Hole in the mattress. Very load cleaning staff starting to talk on the hallway from 8.00 on. Knocked on the door at 9.00 on Sunday morning to clean, although checking out that day & proceeding to enter the room when we didn’t respond right away as we were still sleeping. They the. Proceed to start vacuuming the hallway at 11.00. Lastly, elevator was very busy causing waiting times as it is also used by cleaning staff.
friendly staff nice bar great transport hub.
Clean, efficient, good shower, views from upper floors, check-in good! Compact room, bed ok Close to Old Town!
Alles gut
Windows can't be blacked out
Wonderful location, beautiful lobby, cozy garden, comfortable room, friendly staff etc. An overall great experience.
Motel One Selinger-Tor was perfectly located for our needs. The reception staff were all super friendly. Room was perfect for us - in a quiet part of the hotel. Air conditioning was a god send as the temperatures in Munich were very hot. Hotel is well located for old and new town, shops and restaurants in abundance. Hotel is also located near an U bahn station and only a few minutes from the S Bahn too. Overall a great stay as I have been accustomed to with Motel One.
The room was very nice, with the exception that the air conditioning was not working. It was pumping out room temperature air and so our room was warm and stuffy. A maintenance person looked into it but told us that it was working properly and that it was not designed to cool the room but only to act as a fan and circulate air. However, people traveling with us and staying in the room next to us did have cold air coming out of their unit and their room was MUCH cooler than ours. So I feel MotelOne didn't want to or couldn't fix the air conditioner in our room so was just telling us a story about why it wasn't cooling the room. We probably wouldn't stay at this MotelOne again for this reason.
Herr Hain and his whole staff and team go above and beyond to have the hotel in perfect order and any problems they are able to solve, they solve as quickly as possible! Two things to note: -as they do not have “air conditioning” having a few portable room fans available for customers during extreme heat waves, might be good. -the firm that was there June 23-25 cleaning the outside and windows left the windows completely dirty and full of dried water marks-should have to come back and fix or not be paid!
Friendly welcome, helpful staff, clean room - excellent breakfast choices. Room comfortable and good air conditioning.
The location is perfect!!! It's a perfect walking location and just a short walk to the train station that will take you to the airport. The breakfast was amazing as well. I can't wait to stay here again on my next trip to Munich. P
Fabulous staff, so helpful, both on the front desk and housekeeping. Great location, very walkable. It's a budget hotel so the rooms are small but we expected that going in, but 2 people are the maximum per room, I wouldn't even suggest bringing a baby. Showers are fabulous! Hotel is modern and very clean. The only suggestion I have would be to install an ice machine where guests could get their own ice, rather than having to ask the bartender for ice.
The room itself was a little small, but I had expected that given the information and the price. I hadn't expected how friendly and helpful all of the staff would be. Everyone we spoke to was so kind and went above and beyond to assist with recommendations and anything else we asked. I'd definitely recommend this hotel and think that the staff here make it an amazing place to stay.
The room was smelly. We needed to open the windows to get rid off the humidity. Additionaly, the walls, corners and some areas from the shower had mold (fungus). The shower needs a deep cleaning!
The room was TINY. No mini fridge, no chair. Just enough room for the bed and luggage. 475 Euro for a 2 night stay. I’ve had much better!
Allez Paris! Champions d'Europe!!!
