Lovely friendly welcome from staff at reception, room was nice, place was nice & cool (stayed while weather was very hot). Great location. Well presented & delicious breakfast. All staff seemed happy at their job. Would definitely recommend.
Very conveniently located hotel; I had a nice room with a view, a tea cooker, a comfortable bed and a little table (!) (an unusual thing in a hotel nowadays). The shower worked OK (could have been a bit stronger, but then, it was on the 11th floor), and the air con worked perfectly. The only (slight) drawback: a couple of shelves or a drawer to put in clothes would be nice. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The only thing I would like you to take a bit more care is the breakfast: the coffee was simply not drinkable (and I am used to the American swill), and the cheese had a very weird taste (probably not too fresh). Otherwise: a very good deal; I continue to recommend Motel One to friends.
Poppy was excellent and greeted me when i arrived, it had been a long journey because of the heat and train cancellations, and we chatted and i was given a bottle of water, and my room keycards, i was next to the lift so that was a little annoying during the night/early hours. breakfast was lovely, as usual, you have a great selection, and checking out was brilliant, nice and fast and poppy was lovely again, the only downside of the stay, was when i came back to the hotel the door wouldn’t open, and even though there were staff inside and it was a journey around to the other entrance, but a great stay nonless, i’d happily return many times,
Unfortunately there weren’t many vegan options at the breakfast buffet
Friendly staff. Great location, room was clean and had everything I needed. Breakfast had a an excellent range
Very minimalistic, but the staff were all so helpful. Excellent breakfasts (cooked breakfast not available, which suits us fine, as we never eat them). Superb choice of everything else). Location is very conveniently close to Piccadilly Station and a main tram stop.
Found all your staff extremely helpful and pleasant. Room very clean. Delighted with the magnifying mirror. However, not impressed with cups - I had a nasty taste each time I had a cup of tea (maybe I previous occupant had used a special tea which was absorbed by the cup). Second gripe:- Only discovered, after I had finished breakfast, that cereals, fruit and yoghurt were on the opposite side of the room. They are what I usual eat for breakfast. So I moaned to my other half that it was years since I’d had so much bread! But, all in all, a very pleasant experience.
room 8.07 very small, no USB sockets for charging phones, no glasses for water, overall very disappointing, for a city which as numerous hotels for overnight stays and the most expensive car park, will think before booking again !"!!!!
A superb stay. Everything was perfect especially the air conditioning.
I had a lovely stay in your hotel, across the Central Station, nearby city center, airco in the room. A little note i missed a refrigerator to cool your drinks
Lovely hotel, convenient location. The only minor complaint is cardboard cups for tea and coffee in the bedroom. Easily supplied by reception staff when I asked for them, better to have mugs, and also glasses, including wine glasses in the room.
At first, I was a bit worried because of the name including the word "Motel". But it is actually a real Hotel. Very good one. You have everything you need there. All is clean and stylish. You get a fresh and youthful vibe in there, but a decent one, not some kind of hipster place vibe. All is beautiful and fresh, and I really liked my stay there. Also, the stuff is extremely helpful. I am sure that I will visit that place again if I stay in Manchester. And luckily, they also have a hotel chain in other cities.
Extremely helpful staff at reception Especially angel who helped with early check in .. very quick and eager to help ! Rooms were clear and a practical place to stay to be around Manchester .. bang in the heart of all all commute options
Excellent hotel in a brilliant location for the train station, lovely and clean with polite and helpful staff.
Lovely welcome by staff, room was ready on arrival albeit we were slightly earlier than check in time so that was good, we were on the 9th floor, good view for people watching. We stayed two nights and the room was so peaceful. Great location for train station and trams, short walk into the heart of the City Centre. We would most certainly return.
Fantastic location....just 2 minutes walk from Picadilly Station. Amazing staff,,,especially at reception. They were informative and helpful. The room was spotlessly clean, plenty of towels and air conditioning. Strong wifi with no connection problems. One small point, a mini fridge would have been useful to keep water chilled. Overall, great value for money.... would highly recommend.
My third stay here - excellent as always - staff efficient and friendly, room clean and comfortable, brilliant location - highly recommended.
Great Counter Staff and clean and well presented rooms
Very clean and comfortable hotel in an excellent area for visiting the city. The area outside the hotel is busy but inside the hotel you would not know, its so quiet. From the minute you stepped through the door the staff made you feel very welcome and provided me with info on what to visit and how to get there, recommendations on where to eat as well, thank you for that.. I had a problem with the temperature control on the air con twice and it was fixed within minutes by the professional and very friendly staff.
Overall good, but bathroom wasn't as clean as it should have been, and the showerhead wasn't working quite right.
All very good , my only complaint was paper cups in the room for tea / coffee was disappointing
Staff as always make any stay special
It’s was outstanding and can’t wait to come back staff were amazing
This hotel is really well located by Piccadilly Train Station and Manchester City centre. The staff are really helpful and it is excellent value for money.
Clean modern premises. Room spacious, comfortable bed, fluffy white towels. Friendly helpful staff. Would have given a 10 but no waste bin in room and had to ask for bottle of water We didn’t use lounge/bar facilities thus difficult to score out of 10
Excellent and helpful staff very clean hotel and a very good breakfast
Lovely helpful staff and nice clean room
Rooms were incredibly basic and tired. Carpet is dingy. Sofa bed is like a brick. Woodchip on the walls. It felt like a budget hotel and not a £200p/n room. Bathroom is modern and clean. Not sure I’d use this chain again.
Friendly and helpful staff, warm welcome too. Clean and welcoming, spacious, with a great seating area and bar.
Very polite & professional staff. The whole place clean & tidy.
Lovely vibe, clean, comfortable and right next to the station.
Really lovely, budget hotel. Great lobby, staff and hotel room facilities.
I have stayed at many different Motel One locations and they are always my first choice to go to as the service is great and the rooms are nice.
A really lovely hotel. Spotlessly clean and proably the most comfortable hotel bed I've ever slept in. Good continental style breakfast. Convenient location.
Loved it
Our first time in a Motel One and won’t be our last - stylish, clean, such a comfortable bed, warm welcome, central location and so quiet. Lovely stay
Poppy fantastic at reception
Couldn't fault it. Easy for Piccadilly station. Very welcoming reception staff. Clean and modern hotel. Lovely quiet and well equipped rooms. Excellent value for money and would not hesistate to book with Motel One again. Really great!
Second stay here very good
A great and ideal location near the train station for easy access to important locations in the area. Great service and the room was very nice!
Great location, friendly staff, clean, tidy room
Room was well appointed and perfectly clean. The staff are always attentive and willing to help. Will always stay there when in Manchester.
Great place, friendly staff, great value
Poppy on reception was fabulous. very helpful, courteous, lovely manner, welcoming. She needs recognition.
Staff were very friendly. However the sink in my room was partially blocked. I reported it at around 8am after my arrival and when I returned in the evening it was till blocked. This made things like cleaning my teeth and shaving pretty unpleasant. Most hotels with a kettle have a couple of non-Indian teabags, like mint or camomile or something and that seems like an easy thing to provide.
The location is perfect for the station. The staff are very friendly and the breakfast is superb.
The room was the big failure here. Bad decor such as artex looking wallpaper made it look like I was 8 again visiting my grandmother's house. The white tv and borderless mirror was in contrast to the lovely art deco lobby that I walked into. The carpet was brown and looked very worn, you didn't want to take your shoes off until the very last moment. The pillows were not to my liking (so hard to get this right as everyone's preference is different I can appreciate). The bathroom was the saving grace regarding the room and in keeping with your wonderful lobby. Other than that, the staff were great, engaging and friendly.
Smart, convenient for train station. Good breakfast buffet. Good a/c in the heatwave and very well soundproofed.
Very pleasant and good breakfast
No hot water in the shower. When I let reception know they told me there was no manager available. I was told the manager would contact me, this didn’t happen. I had to follow up to get a response. I’ve stayed many times in this hotel and usually it’s very good, but the service this time has been extremely poor
