I love this hotel for its location, cleanliness and staff, however, I’d say the shower pressure could be improved and the bathroom occasionally had a bad sewer smell about it, and the aircon didn’t seem too great this time, I couldn’t get it to feel cool enough in the room. Overall a great stay and staying again in May
Excellent stay as usual. Clean, comfortable and very friendly staff. Great size room for the price.
Clean, sleek, modern reception and bar area. Rooms are clean, bed comfy, room has everything you need - tea/coffee, hairdryer, coat hangers in open racks, stool / desk and chair, bathroom nice and clean as well. Free open Wi-Fi. Bar was good and not excessive prices. The TV signal was flaky which was why it is not a 10.
Really enjoyed my stay, the gentleman who checked me in on Monday night 10th November was fantastic, very friendly and professional. I had the best sleep I'd had in a while but I was very disappointed with the bathroom, the shower was broken and wouldn't fit in the holder to shower, I had to try and balance holding it and showering.
I like this place. Always clean and fresh. Bar is expensive Very disappointed that there was no respects for the 2 minute silence on the 11th Nov at 11am. Staff carried on talking and music carried on playing across the audio system
Well presented, decor lovely, clean cosy atmosphere. Welcoming staff
Very comfortable and location good
Very friendly and effficient staff. We had a short stay, so did not really use any of the facilities avalable.
Excellent. Convenient for all transport. Super varied and good quality continental breakfast. Polite, friendly, efficient helpful staff. Very clean everywhere. Lots of green and eco credentials, outstanding value for money. Good wifi. One small criticism- the room lighting could do with a dimmer.
Was a bit sceptical as I ve never stayed in any of your hotels and the price point was very competitive. But was more than pleasantly surprised by everything you offered Everything surpassed my expectations and will definitely recommend and return
With Motel One, you usually know what you're getting. This one however seems to be a little inconsistent with the rest and just not as good as them. Maybe the other locations have spoiled me. My stay was 3 nights, so had some downtime to fill in the room. However, the signal for the TV is so poor, you can't watch any channels or listen to any radio stations. There's just no point in it being there. There are also no shelves next to the bed or bedside tables. It's a small detail perhaps but something that's included at all other Motel One locations. You don't really have anywhere to place your phone whilst it charges, or a glass of water for the night here. There is a small table against the opposite wall but half of it is covered in Motel One literature, so not much use in that being there either. These things are all better at the other Motel One locations nearby.
Our original hotel cancelled on us but the staff at motel one were brilliant they sorted us a room out and made us feel comfortable. So very happy with our stay. The room was lovely too and had everything you needed.
Amazing staff as always, lovely vibe and very comfy bed. Everyone went above and beyond. My go to Manchester hotel!
Room was very small and we recommended this hotel to friends who didnt enjoy the stay. At 3am police were called to the hotel for an incident which discturbed our relaxing weekend ....It wasnt a great stay. Unsure I would use this hotel again.
This has to be by far one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve had In Manchester! The queen room I booked definitely wasn’t what I got! The room was tiny and looked nothing like it did on the pictures! The bedding smelt like it hadn’t been washed in weeks! The whole room itself smelt like sweat! The woman behind the desk when mentioning about my stay was very rude in my eyes! She had proper attitude on her which I didn’t like what so ever! In a whole, this was by far my worst stay in a hotel in Manchester and it was up there with the most expensive!
We were given a large accessible room with walk in shower. Everything was impressive. Cleaning, bedding and towels really good. Only downside was that there were few tables/desks to rest drinks on. Plenty of room for basic tables/surfaces.
Great location, modern and comfortable. Quiet. While breakfast is only continental, it has good variety.
Located just across from Piccadilly Station, I had full access to all public transport that made it very easy to visit the city. Motel One is a very comfortable stay with a wonderful breakfast to start the day. The sleep was great in the comfortable beds and as I was here for several days, I always woke up well rested.
For me Motel One is very practical. However what I dislike (who wouldn't) is there price gouging. I can understand the increase in price when there is an event taking place but to effectively double it does not sit well with me
I stay at Piccadilly Motel One at least 4 times a month and maybe more and have done for the last 2 years. I reported my AC wasn’t working on Wednesday morning after a bad nights sleep and had expected it would be resolved the next night. But it wasn’t. Man City were playing and the place was full. I had another terrible nights sleep. Room 38 on 4th floor. Check it out. I am a corporate member and expect better service please.
Welcoming and knowledgeable check in desk taking care of my welfare. The bar manager was also a fantastic advert for your brand with his friendly attitude.
Good location for train travellers. Most central areas within walking distance. Air con fan rather noisy, so turned off. Local tram bells can be heard at 6th floor, and start early. TV display rather broken, but wifi good. Served well for a short break!
The staff very nice and it was very clean lovely sheets and towels like that they give you a bottle of water.simple clean and practical that’s what you want
Lady on reception on check in was great. Efficient and friendly. Room good. A light above bed not working and only one battery in tv remote so didn't work, room 924. Didn't realise until getting into bed. Maybe these things could be checked by housekeeping. I know they're on the clock to get in and out but it would prevent things like this. Enjoyed the touch of the free water and breakfast was good.
Great hotel, next to train station and bars Usually manage to check in early and a 12 o’clock checkout doesn’t seem rushed
Comfortable stay and convenient location
Great stay, clean, warm fully equipped room with a comfortable bed
Lovely and central - room small but ok - tv did not work but was sorted (after 3 requests and a free breakfast) - bar area is fab and so was the bar man - very friendly and funny.
Fantastic experience as usual. Staff was very friendly and took great care of us.
Quick and pleasant check in, clean room, great shower and very central location.
Amazing experience, very nice and friendly staff everywhere in hotel, bar super cool, no noise, super clean, but had minor issues.I asked the night receptionist to buy the branded plastic glass as a souvenir at checkout ( as stated in a picture in the room ) but the answer was "I dont know the price", then Ive proposed to be billed after, answer: "no, pay now" ( ????? ). Different scene, needed to get back things from the hotel's safe at night: key was disappeared, the solution proposed was"wait 7am when the manager is back", what if I've neededd to checkout ? The TV shows as available a lot of channels but the TV can tune only a few of them. Ive asked on saturday to extend for a day the stay, no problem, but I had to relocate in another ( really much better room ), whasn't it much easier to let me stay in my room and upgrade for free the other customer ? Two happier customers at the price of one.
Good value. Excellent location. Great staff!
Staff were very welcoming and positive. The lobby area was comfortable and edgy. My first Motel One visit and hopefully won't be my last.
Checking in is fixed at 3pm ( which I fully understand as check out is 12 noon) However would be nice to be able to check in earlier...on a room by room bais as and when it gets cleaned etc.
very clean and modern
Great location..clean and tidy..very friendly staff
As always an excellent stay here.
Wonderfully clean with a compact but well designed room. Great bed and lovely bedding. Staff really helpful. We really disliked the plastic beakers provided for hot drinks though! Only enough milk for one hot drink each. And there were no glasses in the bathroom. Stayed in the Glasgow motel previously and had a larger room with better facilities.
The staff were friendly and polite, but that’s where the positives end. The room was extremely small with zero amenities — no fridge, no air con, nothing to justify the £150 price tag. It offered 0 value for money. For the price, I expected far more comfort and quality. Unfortunately, it felt massively overpriced and disappointing overall.
Excellent location right across from Piccadilly Station. Room was clean and comfortable and the staff were all very friendly.
hotel very clean but lacked finishing touches - no glasses or hot chocolate in the room and only plastic style beakers - no china cups. no net curtains or voiles at window so choice of curtain closed or look at the workers in the office next door!
Very helpful, courteous staff, especially at reception. The lady with the short bleached hair and tortoise-shell glasses was particularly attentive and showed us a great area to check out. The room was good, but the bathroom and shower were even better. Couldn't find a waste bin in the room, maybe a useful addition? Appreciated the large, bright windows overlooking the trams below. Took advantage of the cosy, pleasantly lit bar lounge area after returning from the Co-Op Live Duran Duran Halloween show. And the lady in charge of breakfasts was helpful in us receiving vegan cheese.
“This hotel is outstanding — the perfect balance of work and relaxation. I loved the thoughtful touches, like complimentary water from the restaurant and the perfect room location that made my stay even more convenient. The customer service was truly lovely, with staff who were always friendly and attentive. The atmosphere is ideal for getting work done while still feeling like a relaxing getaway. Highly recommended for both business and leisure stays.”
Really nice modern hotel right outside Piccadilly Train Station requested to leave luggage before check-in & when we checked out not a problem friendly staff
It was an amazing stay, the staff were wonderfully helpful and welcoming. The location was perfect for my trip. I'll definitely be staying here again!
Comfortable, clean, great location and helpful and friendly staff
Nice, sentrally located hotel.
No late checkout and key card stopped working so had to go and get it sorted. Quite noisy being in a room near opposite the elevators with people passing and talking loud at night. . Doors slamming any time of day too.
Really enjoyed our stay here. The location is great for the station and I really liked the bar/reception area. The rooms are small and quite basic but the bed was comfortable and everything was clean. Staff were friendly.
Perfect. Great sized room. Spotless and the staff where all super friendly
