You can often tell by the bathroom how seriously a hotel takes its guests. Even in a really good hotel, it’s often little more than an upmarket washroom: too small, too ordinary, not well thought out. But meanwhile the bathroom is easily as important as a good bed. A sense of wellbeing depends on how we start the day, that’s why one of our top priorities from the outset was on high-quality bathroom facilities, something we are continually improving on. As one of the most intimate moments, your early morning shower should be the perfect wake-up ceremony.
The world's smallest spa
Design column by Ursula Schelle-Müller, Head of marketing & design Motel One
Which is why at Motel One, we have walk-in Hans Grohe Raindance showers installed. The washbasin taps are by Dornbracht and the dark designer shower tray by Kaldewei adds an optical contrast. We’ve now added organic shower gel and hand soap in dispensers to reduce plastic waste, as well as a vanity mirror and wipes, a great plus for our female guests. Now you’ll find our 600-gram, extra fluffy towels hanging on their own towel racks too. Nothing is randomly selected, every detail is part of the overall concept to ensure our guests are using nothing but the best on their skin. For us, the bathroom isn’t just somewhere to have a wash, but the smallest spa in the world. Enjoy!
