Terms and conditions of entry and data protection
Participants and participation
The contest is open to all individuals over the age of 18 who are permanent residents of the EU or Switzerland. This excludes employees of Motel One and their relatives. Only one entry per person is permitted for the prize. Failure to comply with any of the rules will lead to the exclusion of the participant from the contest. Similarly, any attempted manipulation shall result in exclusion from the contest.
Contest period and prizes
The contest starts on 14/03/2023 at 5:00 pm and concludes on 16/03/2023 at 5:00 pm.
To enter the competition, participants must like the write a comment under the sweepstake post stating whom they would take to the Klimts Kuss event. Participation in the contest also requires membership of the free beOne membership programme.
Participation in the contest requires explicit acceptance of these conditions. By leaving a corresponding comment, participants acknowledge and accept these conditions in full.
Excluded from participation in the competition are comments with offensive language as well as comments with discriminatory, racist or youth-endangering content or which have a negative reference to persons or companies.
The 15 winners and their accompanying person (one accompanying person per winner) will win an overnight stay in a double room at Motel One Berlin-Alexanderplatz (incl. breakfast) between 31 March and 1 April 2023.
Travel is not part of the prize and must be arranged by the winner.
On 31 March , the 15 winners and their plus one will also attend the Klimts Kuss exhibition in Berlin. In addition, the winners can attend a gin tasting at Motel One Berlin-Alexanderplatz on 31 March.
To be entitled to their prize, the winner must declare their acceptance to Motel One within 72 hours and submit all data required for announcing the winner. The prize cannot be changed nor redeemed for cash. Prize claims are not transferable.

Motel One assumes no liability for the availability of the Motel One website. Motel One assumes no liability for any potential transmission errors.
Premature termination of and changes to the contest
Motel One reserves the right to terminate or change the contest without prior notice at any time if the correct implementation of the contest cannot be guaranteed for technical or other reasons or if the fairness of the contest appears to have been compromised. The participants shall not derive any claims from such events.
Other provisions
There shall be no recourse to legal action. The participants shall have no enforceable claims to the prize or redemption thereof in cash. These eligibility requirements and the entire legal relationship between the participant and Motel One are governed exclusively by German law. Should individual clauses of the eligibility requirements be or become invalid, the validity of the remaining clauses shall remain unaffected.
Final clause
This contest is not affiliated with Facebook. It is in no way sponsored, supported or organised by Facebook. Any information submitted by participants is received not by Facebook but by Motel One. All submitted information is used for the sole purpose of conducting the contest. The participants release Facebook from any liability that may result from claims arising from the contest (in particular, its publication and organisation). Any questions, comments or complaints about the contests shall be directed to Motel One and not Facebook.

- Purpose and scope of data processing and legal basis
For the purpose of running the contest, the controller collects and stores participants’ names and other personal data provided by participants on Facebook. After the winner is chosen, they will also be asked to provide their address, which will be processed for the purpose of sending them the prize. The winner’s name will then be shared on Facebook with their consent. The legal basis for processing is Art. 6 para. 1 (b) GDPR, as the data is required to fulfil a contract with the participants. If the winner consents to their personal data being shared on Facebook, the legal basis is Art. 6 para. 1 (a) GDPR.
- Disclosure to third parties
Data is not disclosed to third parties. Data processing by Facebook occurs entirely independently of the data processing undertaken for the contest. Please refer to Facebook’s privacy policy in this regard: https://de-de.facebook.com/policy.php
- Duration of storage
All data is deleted within 30 days of the end of the contest.
