Our design hotel is situated right at Hackescher Markt – the perfect accommodation for anyone wishing to take in all facets of Berlin. The historic location right in the city centre, next to Alexanderplatz and the iconic TV tower, has shaped the design of our Motel One Berlin-Hackescher Markt. It features the artwork “The One” by the US artist Freddy Reitz, which depicts the historical division of Berlin into an eastern and western district. A great centrepiece to admire during a healthy breakfast, over a cappuccino in the afternoon or a glass of wine in the evening. Our cosy designer armchairs by B&B Italia allow you to contemplate every single detail of this marvellous piece of art, which is designed in the unique “Correspondent Art” style. We’ve got a little puzzle for you: the artwork reflects certain details of our hotel. Can you find them all?
Teeming with designer shops, restaurants and entertainment offers, the Hackesche Höfe complex is an excellent point of departure from which to discover all facets of the vibrant capital. Thanks to the perfect location of our hotel, you get to discover the nearby Museum Isle and the whole of the rest of the city from the well-connected Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt overground and underground stations. Of course, the symbol of Berlin is within easy reach of our hotel, too: Brandenburg Gate in the Mitte district. From there, it is but a short walk to Potsdamer Platz, where culture enthusiasts can soak up fascinating galleries and the Berlin Philharmonic. An extended discovery tour of the city will reveal exactly why Freddy Reitz chose the perfect name for her tribute to Berlin: “The One”.
