History:

1987: Foundation and development of the brand ASTRON

2002:  the brand ASTRON Hotels with 54 hotels and over 8.000 rooms was sold to the Spanish Hotel chain NH. Concentration on the low budget design brand Motel One.

2007:  Motel One achieved for the first time the „AAA investment ranking “of Treugast among Accor, Marriott and Starwood Hotels.

Morgan Stanley Real Estate’s Special Situations Fund III (“Special Situations”) acquired 35% stake in Motel One GmbH.

Motel One CEE was founded as a joint venture with the “Austrian Verkehrsbüro Group“targeting the development in Central and Eastern Europe.

Motel One operates currently 27 hotels in Germany (over 4930 rooms):

Berlin, Düsseldorf, Frankfurt, Hamburg, Hannover, Köln, Kassel, Leipzig, München, Nürnberg, Stuttgart, Wiesbaden
