Like many major Hanseatic cities, Rostock harbours a port, just a short stroll from the hotel with a promenade to take in a little salt air and enjoy the breezy ambiance against a backdrop of pubs, taverns and imposing historic warehouses. Another fine view of the port is to be had from Kanonsberg by the Fischerbastion. 

Of course there’s more sea air to taste in nearby Warnemünde, easily and quickly reached by S-Bahn. Do as the locals do and spend any sunny weather on the seaside promenade, snack on a fish roll on the beach and watch the huge ships cruise to and fro. In Warnemünde, wanderlust is everywhere you turn.

Back in Rostock, why not look into one of the clubs or bars in the Old Town or by the port. The atmosphere is generally easygoing – there’s nowhere more laid back than Rostock!
